To a degree yeah. But if you don't think being paired with Bryson is going to affect Rory you're crazy. If Rory can get out to a fast start and build a bit more cushion he may be able to hang on and win. But if Bryson quickly closes the gap and that crowd starts going crazy for him Rory is going to be feeling a huge amount of pressure which lately hasn't had good results for him.
Him being paired with Lowry as opposed to Bryson would make a huge difference for him. You always hear about comfortable pairings for players. I think this is going to be a very uncomfortable pairing for Rory while Bryson seems to be thrilled with the pairing.

It certainly could be a factor.
Rory has spent a lot of time and money on the mental aspects of golf in the last year.
Rotella is a big part of his team.
It is possible that he chokes and shoots 75.
So could Bryson.
Or both could shoot in the 60s.
It is great to see 2 of the best players in the world in the final group.

Why would Bryson intimidate him? Rory is just as long as, if not longer. Rory is a better iron player.

These guys have won at every level of golf.

Bryson shot 69 hitting 9 greens.
He. Could go low IF he dials his irons in.
This could be a great Masters finish.
I guess they could both shoot 75 and lose to Patrick Reed.

Rory has turned into the PGA diva...... That's why so many people have become put off by him.. The Rory from 10 years ago was much more likeable and easy to root for.
There no way I'm rooting for him, the way he just left the open and couldn't stay and congratulate Bryson tells you everything you need to know about him
On the flip side the Bryson from 10 years ago was cringe worthy. He has now turned himself into one of the most likeable and easiest guys to root for. He matured and gets it. His interaction with the fans, his passion, and how much he loves getting the kids involved is second to none.

I didn’t care for Bryson much until my teenager started showing me all his YouTube rounds. Now I would say he is the best personality in the sport. What a career makeover.
Rory has tried to rebuild his image a bit as well. Both have a chance to improve the sport today by how they play and their post round comments. Here’s hoping it works out for all. Sometimes you can gain more fans and respect after a loss if done right.

He’s fully capable of out alpha-ing Bryson, and I’d kinda like to see that because I really started watching a ton of golf when Rory was coming up.
Would be happy for Bryson to win one as well.

I’d like to see golf history be made but when bryson is dialed in he is a force and right now he’s got his sights set on the jacket. Rory can do this but I think Bryson will have to lose for Rory to win this one. Idk if Rory has the head game to tune Bryson out.
