I started playing again for the first time in a couple years and my ball flight has gotten so much lower causing me a lot of distance and I’ve tried so many things and not getting the launch. Even with a teed high driver….irons all low…,except my 8-Wedges are normal height. I feel like that’s a tell in a someway but I can’t figure it out. Driver-mid long irons all way to low

More club head speed will help. Play the ball a little more forward in your stance and finish with your hands high. With your driver, make sure your hitting the ball with the club head past the bottom of your swing, in other words, on the way up. Also try more shoulder tilt in your driver setup.

Yes I have been working on that with my driver. It’s an extremely different feeling to me. Even when I was a single digit handicap I’m not sure I actually did that properly even though I used to be ok off the tee cause it’s a real different feel. I’ve just kinda been doing so mini/slow swings just to get the feel for it on my net in the garage. So I’m definitely hoping to see some help with that. I’m also concerned I’m sliding past the ball

I have a similar problem. When we put it on camera my shoulders were almost level with the ground. Added some spine tilt and immediately got the ball up in the air.

Find a pro.

They can help you in 30 minutes.

It’s probably something in setup or a lateral sway. Sometimes it is hard to feel for a golfer, but swaying off ball can cause a lot of ills.

I assume you’ve moved the ball up some on the longer clubs.

Is it a low hook? Slice? Top?

Use to be a low ball hitter. With driver, I try to bottom the swing a few inches before the ball. You’re most likely trying to hit the ball rather than swing thru the ball if that makes sense. Make sure you’re not swaying into the swing, but rotating through the swing,

Also, as someone else posted, check your shoulders.

I got you covered Op…..

For driver, tilt shoulders back and your only swing thought is hit it high. That is the only thought in my head in terms of ball contact. Hit it up

I think you will surprised it really is that easy

Do you know what kind of shaft you're playing and have you tried something with more flex and/or a lower kick point?

Most practical way is to just move the ball up in your stance. If you want to get more technical with the equipment, you could swap the shafts out for lighter ones with a higher launching bend profile, or a higher launching golf ball as well.

IRONS: Ball position/Move ball closer to lead foot

DRIVER: At address place driver 3-6" behind ball

General:

closed face or over the top swing path is a killer

I can ask you the same question I did the OP, have yo looked into other shafts with a different weight, flex and kick point? You can take alot of spin off, keep a similar trajectory but not lose distance many times just by changing your shaft.

Yes I've tinkered with all shafts and I finally just accepted that I hit the ball to the moon.
