Never played this course and looking at making a weekend trip up to El Dorado, Ar.

Of the ones that have played, what are your thoughts?

Never played, but drove by on my way thru El Dorado last month. Looked very nice. Spoke with someone who played it; said it’s a tough course from the tips and in great shape.

Phenomenal course. Extremely difficult. One of my favorite tracks I've ever played.

I've played it 4 or 5 times probably. One time, I think the hole is 3, first par 3, the wind was blowing about 30. That hole is about 230 or 240 from the regular tees, I had to hit driver.

Another time we played in the summer. I had 6 iron in, flag was on the left, hit a perfect shot. My ball bounced and rolled out came to a complete stop and as we were driving to my buddies ball it starting rolling and rolled off into the water.

Beautiful course. Hard as shite. It's tougher tee to green than Squire Creek to me.

It's not even close. Squire is wide, most of the time you can find your ball in the natives and there's not that much water in play.

Mystic has either water, OB, or thick trees on pretty much every hole.

I’ve played it once. My buddy had been trying to get me up there. He bet me $100 I couldn’t break 90 from the 2 ups, which I immediately agreed to as I am an 8 HCP and hadn’t shot in the 90s in a few years at the time.

I shot a 90 fricking 5. Top 2 most difficult course I have played (along with Whistling Straits). Course was in fantastic shape. I want another shot at it, but I’m not making anymore bets.

They recently held the sun belt conference tournament there. Winning score over 3 days was +3 and 2nd place was +7. Lot of humbling scores put up by college golfers

For reference for those who haven't played

Tips 7,500 yards
Regular tees 7,200 yards
2 ups 6,800 yards.

And it's got a ton of elevation change. There's a 600 yard par 5 that plays what's got to be 680

Women's tees? Asking for a friend. This is in Michigan? Am I looking at the right course? Suprised by the elevation topography. Looks great though but by your description might make me quit golf. Holy shitballs.

Thanks. The elevation change makes more sense with the course being in Arkansas/Ozarks.

I'm not a painter, sculpter, or architect. But its hard not to enjoy a great course. I'm not a good enough golfer to say what's fair and unfair as a layout. I just always try to walk and enjoy the day.

All this plus the greens can get very quick and not that I am really on my game enough to hit shots at specific targets on the green but you really need to know these greens well to get your shots to hold. I have hit some really good shots at Mystic that turned into dog shite shots or even water balls just because I hit the wrong side of the green. That shite gets frustrating.
