Was thinking over the weekend about how hard he’s fallen over the last decade now. Will he even win another major for that matter? I’d like to see him do it and he is only 31..But like Rory he has to get out of his own way. But unlike Rory he hasn’t been consistently closer to the top as of recent years.

His putting completely disappeared.

In his prime he would drain 20 footers like they were 5 footers.

Not sure how it happened but he has to get that back first and foremost. Hope he does it.

I would not put it out of the realm of possibility if he gets absurdly hot with the putter.

Spieth happened to become an unreal putter for a two year span and then cooled off. The simple fact is that he never had the talent of a Rory, Scottie, etc. to contend even when parts of his game were off. He also seems like a major head case.

I think he will. Like you said he is still really young and once in awhile it all clicks and he goes real low for one round of a tournament. He will have arguably 14-18 more attempts to regain his putting stroke or catch lightning in a bottle at a PGA championship to get it done.

Crazy how much him and JT fell off. For a few years they looked like the future of the PGA. Maybe they just need their bro Smylie back on tour.

this, he was and never will be a long hitter. So his putting is what got him his majors.

As they continue to make courses longer and longer, will we see major champions who are not very long?

It’s odd to say someone is a short hitter who averages 304 off the tee according to PGA stats. Tour average is 300. Rory is 317.

Speith is 58th in driving distance.

Justin Rose damn near won the last 2 majors and he doesn’t hit it anywhere close to how far Spieth hits it on average

Spieth’s issue is he is a shitty approach player, sprays driver, and lost his putting touch.

JT is actually a lot closer than Spieth to contending tbh. Spieth is broken compared to what he used to be.

Smylie is on tour. And he’s out there on the weekend every weekend.

I really like Jordan but he is done. I don't think he will ever return to his best form. Could he get hot and win a tournament here or there? Absolutely.
But he just isn't consistent anymore and there are too many other young players who are better than him.

Speith is 14th in total driving. That is great.
55th in putting.... that is OK..
but 125th in greens in regulation..... terrible.

Jordan is 31. He has maybe 10-12 more legitimate chances to win the PGA Championship and complete the Grand Slam. It is not unheard of for players to win a major in their early 40s, but the chances really drop off after about the age of 44.

Morikawa isn’t a big hitter and If somewhere has a prop for him to win another major, I am taking yes

They're trying range finder this week on tour to try and speed up pace of play.

Be interesting to see how that works out.

Jordan is plenty long to win. Unfortunately, he is also plenty crooked in all aspects of his game..

Just hope we can get all of these guys off the international teams, JT spieth and Ricky need to be left off.

Still can’t believe Ricky just gave a putt for the Ryder cup and didn’t have the guy make it

Rickie has no shot at making the team this year. He earned it in 2023. JT will likely make it because he will be one of the 12 best American golfers. It would not shock me if he auto qualifies. I don't want Spieth to make it, but if he is close, Keegan will likely pick him.

I would say probably not. A lot of guys only got 3/4. I think Spieth could get a few more majors though.

Id give someone like Morikawa, Schaufelle, or Scheffler a better chance than Spieth

I’d still put the odds order at

1. Spieth

2. Xander

3 Scottie

4. Colin

Scottie still needs 3 different events. That’s tough to bet on. Still have him over Colin but honestly could flip that too

I would have him with Xander at 2 right now

But he is in potential to slip down there with Colin

He will have a good chance at Portrush this year.
