The Irish lads will be the favorites.

Maybe Rahmbo’s teammate Tom McKibbin will make a run

I would have him with Xander at 2 right now

But he is in potential to slip down there with Colin

US open is going to be CM biggest hurdle. Big hitters have such an advantage

Pebble and Riviera could be good spots for him. Played well at Riviera

He needs to dump his current team, hire a top sports shrink, and reboot his career. His problems are all mental. There's no reason he shouldn't be winning 2-3 lesser tournaments a year.

All that said, I haven't seen any indication that any of those moves are on the horizon. He seems comfortable just being in contention and being a family man. He doesn't need the money.

In his prime he would drain 20 footers like they were 5 footers.

Not sure how it happened but he has to get that back first and foremost. Hope he does it.

Making them at the rate he was doing back then doesn’t seem sustainable

I'd put it at about 20%.

If spieth happened to win this year that would possibly be the wildest moment in sports

Golf would increase their career grand slam winners by 40% in one month

i think it is more likely scottie completes the slam this year than Spieth winning the PGA, given their form the last couple of years

Since 2022 Scottie has 2 masters and 7 top tens in majors. Only one missed cut

He is going to run into another major at somepoint

No the wildest moment in sports would be if Phil actually pulled it off which begs another question, who is more likely to do it next, Phil or Jordan and I’m honestly not sure if Phil is still exempt?

This is his last year being exempt for the US Open.

Scottie finishes top 5 in majors, when jailed, while missing a caddy, while recovering from injury, etc.

He’s also younger than Spieth. I’ve got more confidence in the 2nd longest world number 1 streak guy than Spieth tbh.

What? His distance is just fine.

but 125th in greens in regulation..... terrible.
Pros are great at not making bogies. But even pros fail to get up and down at times. This stat is pretty telling.

He’s getting fewer chances to make birdie every round than guys in competition. That adds up especially when you consider his proximity to the pins likely isn’t that hot either when he is on in regulation.

Speith is 91st in proximity to the hole with an average of 38'. 38' is also the tour average...

#1 in proximity to the hole is Colin Morika at 33' 1".

Putt make percentage by distance

30’ - 7%
40’ - 4%

So 38 is probably closer to 4 than 5. But let’s say it’s 5% for easy math. At 64.26 that is Jordan getting roughly 46 greens per 72 hole tournament.

That’s not going to win a lot on tour

Just hope we can get all of these guys off the international teams, JT spieth and Ricky need to be left off.

JT is ranked 5th in Datagolf right now and the 3rd best American behind Scheffler and Morikawa. He's 8th in OWGR and 9th in Ryder Cup points and climbing up that list quickly.

It'd be beyond idiotic to leave him off.

Two things happened to Spieth.

1. after his success run, like a lot of others, he started retooling his swing for more distance to keep up with Dustin, Brooks, Rory, Justin, Bryson and others. It took him two yrs to get back to competitive again. I think he even got a wrist injury doing it.

2. He got married and had kids. Many on tour do this and dont have a problem with it but you can track his hot streak right up to his getting married. Not a problem to me if he prioritizes family life.

Also, it is not like Speith lost his card or anything. He is still out there competing but he is not the threat on the leaderboard he used to be.

I remember when he dumped his swing coach and started chasing distance. He was on top of the golf world at the time. That probably caused the wrist injury and the surgeries that he’s just now recovered from. Koepka also dealt with wrist injury and it took years for his comeback.

Beem, Micheel, and Walker all won PGA’s.

So not out of the realm of possibility
