Looking for a low impact home gym workout/system and came across Lagree Fitness. Looks similar to Pilates but with more intensity.
Anyone here have experience or opinions?
Thanks in advance.

WHAT IS LAGREE?
The Lagree method is the only method to effectively combine strength, core, and endurance. The workout is intense on the muscles and easy on the joints and connective tissues. The method is adaptable to all fitness levels.
quote:
Since its birth, Lagree Fitness has distinguished itself from every form of exercise, including Pilates, which lacks intensity. The Lagree Method utilizes tried and proven bodybuilding training techniques not inherent to Pilates. The union of these bodybuilding techniques and low-impact qualities, which are fundamental to Lagree Fitness, directly translate to rapid results. While Pilates is based on breathing, concentration, control, centering, flow postural alignment, and precision, Lagree Fitness is fundamentally based on the following: Effective Form, Effective Range of Motion, Effective Tempo, Effective Duration, Effective Sequence, Effective Transition, Effective Tension, and Effective Plane of Motion.

CONTROLLED REPS PERFORMED AT SLOW PACES DEMAND MORE FROM THE BODY
The famous Lagree-count, which consists of no less than eight seconds, does not allow for participants to utilize momentum while moving through each exercise. Instead, participants must use muscle groups in a slow, controlled fashion, which demands more metabolic work per unit of time. This extended amount of time that muscles are placed under tension produces rapid results for participants.

ToneBR in Baton Rouge (formerly Pilates Plus) has the Lagree machines.
Lagree Classes
It's a great workout. I recommend you try it out before you purchase.

I teach reformer Pilates. Like Pilates (or anything else), it’s mostly about the quality of the instructor. One advantage of Lagree is that hasn’t been around nearly as long so you’re likely to get a more consistent experience no matter which studio you go to., whereas Pilates can vary wildly from studio to studio. However, if you have any therapeutic issues or injuries then a good classically-trained Pilates instructor one on one is probably the better way to go. Otherwise Lagree would definitely be worth a try.

why not just get a set of rings and a weight vest and do the body by rings program?
