Anyone had issues with deodorant causing rashes?

I have always had issue with Old Spice gel deodorant ever since I can remember. I switched to the powder (white) version and have been fine ever since.
Last year I noticed that I would get a pretty nasty in my armpit sometimes. It was always random when it happened so I didn't think much of it.
Fast forward to this year, I have tried every deodorant brand that I know of and I always have a massive rash under my arm. Within hours after using deodorant. Has anyone had any success with a brand? I have used non aluminum and hypoallergenic deodorant and they still tear me up.
Topical steroid cream is the only thing that makes that rash go away.

Try something Tallow based.

Switched to the gel (aluminum free) version and it got worse, so I don't think it's the aluminum. Wonder if Old Spice added something weird to the formula within the last year or two?

I've been trying to find one that doesn't tear me up since August but not having much success.

Gel has always done it to me as well. The spray works the best for me now.

Switched to Native based off recommendations I got here. No issues so far.

They make deodorant??? Does it hold up to a decent amount of sweat?

Same issue with the gel. Haven't had an issue with the solid deodorant.

I bought Vanicream deodorant for my mom. Everything else breaks her out.

Arm & Hammer Fresh deodorant is pretty awesome. Never any rashes and it works really well.

Yeah the gels are terrible and for me it’s the fragrance . I’m pretty sensitive to fragrances as well and those in deodorants often make my armpits red
I use degree ultra clear ( it does have aluminum in it ) but no hard fragrance and have no issues for years with it

Old Spice used to do this to me. Switched to Degree years ago and no more problems.

They also have a "sensitive skin" version as well is what I use.
I ran out once and used a different brand that I had laying around and I'm pretty sure it gave me a rash

I just don’t wear deodorant anymore and that seemed to fix it

Gel deodorants have always caused rashes so I have had to use the white sticks for a long time. Have since moved to Native deodorant a couple years ago to get rid of a lot of the crap that my body absorbs

It’s a deodorant and not an antiperspirant. I specifically wanted one without a ton of chemicals in it. I walk a lot during the day outside in Alabama. I sweat a good bit and this stuff has held up just as good as anything else I’ve tried.

Been using Old Spice gel forever but it's doing it more often to me now
I don't like the white sticks gets everywhere on my clothes so those are out
Definitely following this for some alternatives

Did your undershirt fabric or seam lines change on the undershirt? Did your body change to where the fabric moves and bunches differently?
DO seems to create “crust” on fabrics during the day (which never seem to go away after washing.) it may just be mechanical irritation.

This is what the dermatologist had recommended when I had this issue. Good product.
