Are Bowflex machines worth it?

Looking to add to the home gym and checking out different machines within the 1000 dollar range. Any recommendations? Thoughts on the bowflex? Want to build but not massively.
The future wife will be using this as well.

either get the adjustable dumbbells or get a functional trainer like the one from rep
rep has the best adjustable DBs nick named Reppins
but i have the powerblocks and they are awesome and if you look a couple threads down, the powerblocks are on sale from woot.
get that and an adjustable bench from rep and you will be able to do everything you need and 1000x better than bowflex
both you and your wife will get much much better results than with bowflex.

you said you're "looking to add to the home gym". What do you currently already have? That would be helpful to assist in any advice given.

Bowflex is just an Indian name for clothes hanger.

A cheap Chinese bench with curl/leg connections. Rogue bike and rogue rowing machine. Some kettlebells and a chin-up bar.

777 is correct. REP has great benches and they run sales all year.
I bought a Rogue wall mount folding squat rack for my garage. Best investment I've made in years.

Thanks for pointing that out. $200 for the blocks is a hell of a deal, and the stand was half off too. I just picked up both for $300 shipped out the door. That's a steal.
I don't need the expansions (yet?) So I"ll wait and grab them next year if they go back down.

There are so many other better options. If it’s for the future Mrs, just go ahead and get her a Peloton. Bitches love Pelotons.

I could never get comfortable with the resistance. It felt weird. Turned into a clothes hanger.
