if you just want to lower it, diet wise...leaner cuts of meat, cutting processed carbs is what you will need

if you want to supplement nattokinase & citrus bergmont will get you straight.

I think that people typically don't want to lower HDL. Isn't that the good one?

Firstly I’d ask him to run an LDL sub particle lab. And a calcium score.

Your numbers may or may not be bad but mine are not far from yours and I have no concern. It’s important to look at VLDL and triglycerides as well bc LDL is only the cover of the book.

Having said that, alcohol will raise your bad LDL too.

There is no reason to mess with your cholesterol levels. Inflammation is what needs to be avoided. If you maintain a healthy weight and avoid garbage food, your cardiovascular system will be fine assuming no genetic anomalies

Yea that is a high Triglyceride # boss.

Cut out the processed foods, cut back on alcohol if that’s consistent for you, focus on sugar.

Don’t try to do too much at once, but set achievable goals and continue to build on it. You’ll get that # down pretty quickly don’t worry.

Will do. Been traveling a lot past 2 moths and not eating great on the road then a lot of shite food on weekends with kids all day tournaments. Alcohol has been limited to weekends only but need to tighten the reigns a bit. Workouts have not been a problem, even when traveling lift 3 to 4x a week and get 20-24 miles walking per week.

Should I really lay off whole eggs the doctor was saying I should only eat egg whites whole eggs don't really have a lot of carbs less than a gram per egg what I've looked at online from Dr Brewer basically says carbs are the problem with cholesterol and triglycerides not fats. what say you?

Eggs are not the problem. I personally don’t eat a ton of them bc they’re higher in omega 6 PUFA, but we’re getting in nuances with that. You need to focus on dialing back the carbs/sugar.

I started eating about a dozen eggs a week the past few months, aiming at high protein and low calories. And I like them. I had blood drawn for my yearly physical this morning, we'll see if any stats got wrecked. I may have eaten half a brisket in the last 2 weeks too, so there are other factors.

Thanks. I made 4 egg whites and 1 whole egg this morning. Sounds like if i eliminate processed carbs dont need to split hairs over eggs vs egg whites.

Also the day before they drew blood I pounded smoked pork belly and had several drinks 2 days before the test. Not sure how much of a spike that would cause.

Red Yeast Rice

the main statin simulating ingredient is no longer in it as mandated by FDA so doesnt really work

natt and citrus bergmont are prolly best overall along with vit k.

but mainly he needs to clean up diet to start and that along with fat loss will tell him where he needs to go after.

THat's not a good number Ryno. Cut sugar/carbs out of your diet for a few months and that number will plummet. keto/carnivore
