Taking a once a week intramuscular shot in the hip. I've considered doing the subcutaneous. I've done the transdermal before with good results but my Dr. retired and it's hard to find a clinic or Dr. that does the creams or gels. Tried donating at a blood mobile but they rejected me.

Why did you get rejected for donating blood? I do it and they just slab a testosterone label on my bag.

Your TRT doc can also give you a prescription to get your blood drained for this.

I had a mild heart attack a little over 2 years ago and I have a stent they also took my blood pressure. At the time when I asked why I was rejected a lady stumbled and fell inside the blood mobile and they were attending to her so I just left.

Interesting maybe lsu777 can chime in when he sees this. Maybe they didn’t want to take the risk with you in a mobile drive lol. You might have to go to a physical location and have better luck.

Would limiting iron intake help? Drinking more water?

being even a little dehydrated can make you test falsely high for hemoglobin and hematocrit, so unless you're WAY off the scale and/or have symptoms I wouldn't worry about it

ETA: so can living at high elevation (like me) but I'm guessing that doesn't apply to you

I just donate right at my clinic, way faster and less bullshite to deal with since Gulf Coast Blood Center turned me away multiple times.

I go to OLOL. They have determined I could not donate on two occasions but still did blood dumps for me.

ETA: Switch to subcutaneous. Many studies say it’s more effective and it won’t lead to scar tissue like IM can.

My hemoglobin came back 19 g/dl on a scale of 13 to 18. I did not inject for 21 days just to see what my level would be. My cardiologist is hardcore about these numbers and he has told me to stop the trt. i may try to find a clinic or Dr. that does the creams or gels because I know there is a tendency for higher levels for the intramuscular injections. or maybe the subcutaneous injections.

Do you go through your Dr. to do that?

Wow 19hgb is high. I can see why your Dr wants you off test. What's your test level? Do you know your hgb level prior to TRT?

I just went to a Blood Mobile and was told that I was ineligible to donate. They gave me a form to submit to get an explanation but I just realized I am on a blood thinner and that is likely in their system. So plan B for me.

I don't know what my levels were prior to TRT but when I was on androgel and then later compounded cream my hemoglobin levels were within range and my total T level was typically in the 700 to 800 range. Since I have been on the intramuscular injection my Total T is close to 1000 but my Hemoglobin has been 17+ and now it's 19.

Vitalant on One Calais will take your blood. I had issues with OLOL. They just document that you are on TRT. At least they’ll put it to good use instead of throwing it away.

I had all the classic symptoms. Had labs done twice.
First result was Total Test.150 next result 135. I'm going to post shortly about my ongoing journey with dealing with Drs. and clinics. Maybe others have experienced similar issues.

It doesn’t matter what kind of test you take or where the shot is down, all that dose is slow down how fast it enters blood stream or speeds it up

#1 - lower your dose big time. No more than 80mg/week for right now. Split 2 doses subq

#2 cut out red meat for right now

#3 up your water intake big time

#4 cut out any and all vitamin c that you can

#5 up your cardio

#6 get on nattokinase

#7 get on IP6 Inositol Hexaphosphate

#8 if you blood pressure is not perfect get on carditone

#9 change your lifestyle as far as diet, walking, lifting. Everything you need to be in perfect health is on this board…..just have to put the info to use.

#10 - read the links below, go find Dante’s comments and read every fricking one, don’t frick with me on this, it could prolly save your life in the long run. Sorry if I kind of come off as a dick, it’s last day of the week for squatober and I’m tired and frankly I’m tired of seeing people die way too fricking young cause of lack of knowledge when it’s at their fingertips. Good luck man and post if you need anything or guidance.

Thanks I appreciate your input. I actually did research this when my numbers came back and I have cut red meat to a minimum, increased my cardio and water intake. Also eating more foods with phytic acid to reduce absorption of iron. And adjusting my test. doses. Thanks again.

Can you recommend what and where to order to do the subcutaneous injections and specifically the size. I have glucose needles that are 31 gauge 5/16" (8mm) but I'm sure these are too small for test. I use these for HCG.

I use the ones you have, heat the oil in a small amount of warm water to make draw easier. Gpz services can get you any size you want. 27g works good to- 1/2”
