Wanting to try a smoothie basically for the 1st time and looking for options on a filling smoothie high in protein.
Is this a such thing or are all smoothies just like a strawberry shake from sonic? What y’all got? Thanks

Planet nutrition has great high protein smoothies if that’s an option for you.

Pardon my ignorance but extra scoop of what?

I love their smoothies and can’t accomplish muscle and fitness goals without it.
Play around on their website with different ingredients.
I will get a 32 oz, 2250 calorie smoothie with 84g of protein, other times a 20 oz, 630 calorie smoothie with 78g of protein and others in between. You can save to Favorites on their app so I can just click and pick up.

I made the mistake of chugging one of these down before a set of deadlifts.

Buy a blender, a tub of whey protein, a frozen berry mix from Costco, and a carton of Horizon organic milk. Blend ingredients and drink. Same goes for coffee. No sense paying a premium for something that is easy to do as well yourself.

A lot of the box juice stores add a lot of turbinado sugar. I do love a Green Detox or Peanut Butter Cup from Tropical Smoothie, just request little or no extra sugar.

Pretty much what I do, except instead of milk I use greek yogurt. When berries are on sale at Publix I stock up and freeze them in ziplocs. Usually I have blueberry and raspberry, occasionally will grab some strawberries too. Vanilla yogurt, vanilla protein, a splash of juice and a scoop of protein. Sometimes toss in a banana if I have some. I bought a magic bullet a while back. I just checked on MyFitnessPal, and the recipe I put in there is 355 calories, 37 g protein, 2 g fat. That is with the banana.

I tend to avoid
Lots of added sugar

Tell them to make it skinny or they’ll add sugar to an already high sugar content smoothie. The fruit has plenty of sugar already.
