Anyone here own a pair and what are your overall thoughts? If you love— or hate— them, tell me why.

I’ve never used them, but the movements I see people do with them look silly. “Athletic” movements that could be done with other equipment or just practicing your actual sport. Do deadlifts, squats, bench, overhead press, pull-ups, and rows to get strong.
Maybe if you also had the add-On’s that lock them in place or turn them into 360 lever arms.

if you want variety and are willing to take the time to set them up, they are great.
they can be used for rotational athletes and for line men too and if you use a velocity meter can be great add ons to a properly designed program

those guys are doing those, but also when they measure on the velocity curve may be deficient on the speed side and may need those types of movements. but if they are not using a velocity meter on it to track the speed, they are wasting their time and just exercising.

Seems like a lot of the exercises could be done with a landmine for a lot cheaper

Using them in combination with the Vendetta trolleys is exactly what I had in mind. I get the usefulness for explosive movements like you guys are alluding to, but my thought is using them more as machine replacement. I figure with the pins, they’d be useful to get lots of movements done safely to failure in a home gym environment.

they can be used for that. I have a sorinex hurricane i can use for that. I love it for pushing and pulling movements.
get the ones that can lock or go 3d motion. makes a big difference.
if you dont mind setup time they are amazing, if you do...well than buy something else.

landmine
Underrated item. Landmine Squat/OHP and meadows rows are great movements that I miss doing on PPSA. I actually sneak in Meadows Rows when I can for 1arm db rows.
