Anybody have experience with this? Particularly interested in jumping rope with weighted vest.

Squat jumps with a weighted vest = FML

I've liked weighted pushups and dips a lot. The vest makes both easier, especially pushups.
I've tried some walking with it, never jogging. That's not been bad.

Jumping rope makes my pecs bounce uncomfortably.
I was always told running with ankle weights is bad for you. Seems like a weighted vest would be the same.

Vests limit how heavy you can go. I've put up to 100 lbs in a backpack and could add more. Awkward, but manageable.
In fact, the big limiting factor in all this stuff is sheer awkwardness the heavier you go.

You’ll need a good fitting weight vest.
I have a plate carrier type and it’s awful to jump rope in because it bounces to much.

My plate loaded one holds around 50. I have a second, older one over 20 that I'll layer.
If you knock out higher rep sets of pushups with a 50 lb vest, well, I've put on a lot of chest size with that.

Which is the best to buy?,I would use it for push-ups and squats, squat jumps.

I bought this:

It's cheaper than the 5.11 one they use in CF games, but has worked well for me and seems very solid. I do like the plate loaded aspect, as front and back can both load more than one plate. I have 4 plates and can load up to about 50 lb and as little as 16 lb or so. Varying the weight and rep range helps me.

I would not jump rope with it. Move to harder variations.
For bodyweight stuff it's great if you are looking for hypertrophy. For general fitness just move to harder variations
