Whey isolate vs whey concentrate

May be a dumb question but I’m a relative newbie and still trying to figure this stuff out. If you hit your macros, does it matter if the 50-60 mg of protein/day I get from shakes is coming from isolate vs concentrate? The isolate is a good bit more expensive so I’d rather not spend money unnecessarily.

Depends on who you ask. Isolate has very little to no lactose, so easier on the stomach and of higher quality, but don't know that it's enough of a difference at the end of the day. Go for what your budget allows

That’s some tiny shakes.

Open to suggestions here. I usually do 2 per day with about 30 mg protein per shake. Should I be trying to get 50-60 per shake? Or more than 2 shakes per day?

I was only joking. Your shakes should be in grams.

Yeah, I assumed you meant grams, otherwise you've got access to a much tinier scoop than what came in my protein powder jug.
My main method of supplementing protein is 2 scoops of unflavored whey isolate powder, which for mine is 60 grams of protein, in a diet root beer. 99% of the time(if I even need to take supplemental protein) I only need 1 of these a day, very rarely will I need 2.
I'm of the mind that any whey is fine, if you don't want to pay extra for isolate, don't, it won't make a noticeable difference to you except financially.

If you’re hitting 1g of protein per 1lb of bodyweight a day, it doesn’t matter where it comes from… plant, whey, etc.
If you’re not, it does.
If you’re not, it does.
