RoundUp sucks now after their whole cancer issue. RoundUp Max used to be awesome. I can mix a tank double strength and it still sometimes takes me multiple sprays to be effective.

Are there any comparable products to the old stuff?

Sure just look for something that has glyphosate.

Tractor supply has several alternatives.

Thanks. It seems like RoundUp is twice as expensive and half as effective these days.

I use compare n save concentrate weed and grass killer for my fence lines and ditches. It’s good for about a month and then I just retreat every few weeks until fall.

Been using glyphosate the last few years but just used the RM43 on my ditch. We will see if I can get away with doing it only 1 time this year.

The RoundUp 360 is pretty good. Sometimes hard to find.

with a little dawn soap. Similar killing power, fraction of cost, environmentally safe

the only thing it can’t do is travel down the roots but it kills so well above ground that most times it won’t matter

this is for leafy green weeds and similar. For vines and woody plants you’d be better off with gasoline, again at a fraction of the cost of glyphosate

This is what I use as well. I just buy whatever has min 41% glyphosate.

Shockingly, the active ingredient in roundup used to be glyphosate…however, Roundup no longer contains glyphosate and consequently, it sucks.

Go to Tractor Supply and buy 40% Glysophosphate concentrate and 2-4-D, mix together the death mix and kill everything it touches!

This for the win.

I've even played around with cutting it with water by about half with good results.

I've also used muriatic acid with good results.

Wut?

Vinegar sucks as a weed killer, and the only reason for using it is environmental.....but then you suggest gasoline??!!

Gas is $3 gallon. I can mix a gallon of Roundup from concentrate for $1.

Use proper lawn chemicals, and use them safely.

You can add salt too if you’re spraying driveways, gravel, or areas you don’t mind scarring. About one cup per gallon of vinegar. Add a tablespoon of dish soap for the surfactant. You can almost watch the weeds die.

Need surfactant with new formulation?

Is the new roundup/gly the same concentration as the old?

Watched a video the other day that mentioned that as well, except it was:

30% vinegar (concentrate)
Dawn dish soap for viscosity
epsom salt

Said to be careful of overspray though so.......be careful

Will this 2-4-D kill nutsedge? That is my worst enemy and it is my understanding that Round Up / Glyphosate will not kill it?
