Please send me names and number of recs. Not some fancy company that will charge me an arm and a leg. This will be a complete gut and reconfiguring job.

My advice. Know what you want before hand. Draft it all out in autocad or google sketch up and write a clear scope of work. Prices can be all over the place but this is the best wya to ensure you are getting quoted the same work. Don’t include the allowances in the estimate and figure out your cost on your own for the fixtures and tiles

This is going to cost you. I did this a few years back and saved a LOT of money doing it myself, except for the floating of the sheetrock.

So . . . not Acadian House.
No shite there.
I remodeled my master bathroom right after the flood. TERRIBLE timing, I know, but my wife was antsy. They were the ONLY ones who actually answered their phone and came out to look. Everyone else was obviously too busy at that time.
Long story short, we got FUUUUUUUUUUUCKED. Never again.

I'll never fricking understand who their clientele is.
We had them 'design' our kitchen renovation. We spent around a grand (can't remember exactly how much), then they 'bid' it to us.
Let's just say we did the project ourselves with much nicer finishes, a way bigger scope, and still did it for around half of what they bid.
Plus, the way they present the 'bid' is skeezy as frick. I've heard other posters say the same thing I experienced. They present the costs by sliding the paperwork towards you with a blank sheet covering the bottom of the page. Then slide the blank page down, exposing one line at a time.
None of the items in their quote, individually were all that crazy (except the cabinetry, which we paid roughly $30,000 for highest end Kraftmaid with installation). But the "Acadian House Contract" price of $59, 981???? I never even asked them to tell me how they arrived at that number. When I saw it, I just said "Thanks" and walked out of their office.
Yep, that was exactly how they presented it to us. Although our cost wasn't nearly as high as yours, I had sticker shock but since it was right after the flood, I expected to pay more than normal and nobody else was even responding to us so we ended up using them. Never again! What we got was certainly not close to the amount we paid. Looking back on it, it is honestly the biggest financial blunder of my life and I pray I never get so desperate that I make a bigger one in the future. It's paid off now and thank God but NEVER AGAIN.
frick Acadian House and their high-cost shite. Only good thing about them was the design girl they had in training at the time.

I like what I see on their website. Are their prices reasonable? We are looking to redo our master bath, kitchen, living room, and study.
