Looking to add a two ton unit to the other side of the house, or potentially replace the old unit. One side of the house cools great, but our master is on the other side of the house from where the AC unit is located. I've closed vents, checked the ductwork etc.. and nothing seems to help. We'd be using the same ductwork.

I met with a guy from Nu Air a while back out of Mandeville and I was very impressed. It's who I'm calling next time. I think he was Asian. Ended up going with some retard my wife insisted on that her uncle uses and I'm fixing their mistakes 2 years later. Be very picky here.

“Using the same duct work” - possibly your duct work (sizing), insulation, leakage may the issue of not getting proper airflow to your master bedroom. You need a good HVAC firm with skilled diagnosticians to perform a manual J load (heat load) and manual D load (duct sizing) calculation to determine the cause of your air flow issue. Your problem could as easily be a duct sizing issue, and not equipment sizing per se. Experienced HVAC techs that know their business say the most common issue they see with homeowners that have problematic AC comfort problems is an oversized HVAC and undersized ducts.
Not saying that what you are suggesting is the proper course of action but let the HVAC experts make that assessment. I’ve heard Burkhardt AC based in Mandeville is supposed to be good.
