Anyone use a fogger? I have had great success with the granules but am thinking of using the liquid for mosquitoes. Wondering what kind of sprayer you all use.

I used a hose end sprayer to catch my backyard and surrounding bushes. It has a small attachment that almost looks like a spoon??
Worked great for mosquitoes.

I'm about to buy a stihl backpack sprayer (backpack blower) as I have full cypress shrubs surrounding my backyard. The mosquitos get out of control so want to try fogging.

I use a back pack fogger and talstar. Makes it so we can enjoy your yard almost mosquito free for 3 or 4 weeks at a time.

Stihl. A couple of tips: use pre mixed fuel, make sure you are using a 360 baffle pattern, zip tie the baffle on their, and make sure it has a 1.6 orange tip.

I've used a backpack blower/mister and have dropped my mosquito population drastically. Last year I used it; havent had an issue yet this year.

I just purchased the Invatech Mister Duster off of Amazon. Gas powered mister/fogger. Just came in today and I plan on spraying and will give you a review hopefully in a few days. Prior to this I just used a hand held pump sprayer.

Buy a Stihl SR 450 or SR 200 mister blower. It also can be used as a regular blower. The 450 can blow as far as 25-30’ up in the trees. We mix a surfactant, synerpro pbo (quick knockdown) and demand cs (residual). Talstar won’t last as long as the micro-encapsulated products. You’re welcome.. Get a respirator too.

FWIW, The SR430 is $50 cheaper than the SR450. Difference is the SR430 has the pressure pump included, which allows for more upward spraying. The SR450 allows for spraying granules. If you are not going to be spraying dry granules, get the 430.

The 200 is not a good blower, but acceptable for misting, just wont reach as far and has a smaller tank

The Stihl blower misters are no doubt good products. The local mosquito Joe uses them for my neighbors yard.

I opted for the cheaper no name brand off of amazon using some amazon gift cards I had to purchase them. I am a home owner not a pro and only plan on using it a max of 8-10 hours a year.

Invatech Mister Duster

Quick review. Seems to work pretty good. It doesn't seem to have an internal pump which makes it harder to spray upwards into the trees. Not impossible but not ideal for spraying tree branches. The thing is super heavy when full of water and fuel. I don't know the weight of it fully loaded but with the water weight up high it took a little getting used to.

The actual unit came with extra hoses, bypass valve and even a extra recoil starter. Started real easy and very easy to put together. I already ordered a spare carb off of Ebay just to keep with the other extra parts I have. Feels like a quality unit and I am hoping to get 10 years of service out of it. Costs me almost exactly tree fiddy ($359.99) off of amazon.

The chemicals I used were off of do my own pest control web site. I used Bifen I/T, Insect Growth regulator, and pyrethrin. Mixed the Bifen and pyrethrin at one ounce per gallon and put two ounces of the IGR in the tank. Actual spraying time on the lowest setting was probably less then 1/2 hour. Plan on spraying every time I see my neighbors Mosquito Joe out there spraying or once a month.
