Bifen for Pest Control

I got a container of liquid Bifen to spray for army worms last year. Could I also use this on my house for pest control? Is this the same stuff places like Orkin uses?
Reason I ask is because it has a pretty long list of pests it helps with on the container.

Yes, I also spray suspend polyzone periodically. Mostly bifenthren though because it’s cheaper

Yes and you'll probably do a better job then the pest control companies.
Get a decent pump sprayer and all you really need to do is walk the inside of the house along the exterior walls and put a small bead of spray all along the baseboards. Spray under your sinks and anywhere there is routinely water very well. You can spray the exterior also, I spray along the outside of my windows, doors, and any openings like vents. I spray all along my back deck and under my porch.

Bifen IT is water-based and would be suitable for indoor use. The exterior variety is oil-based and might stain floors or paint.

I've been using it a long time with great results. Does anyone switch back and forth between something else? Suspend maybe? Or am I just wasting money.

Yes Bifen works great for general home pest control. Mix 1 oz. to 1 gallon of water. Spray around the foundation outside of your house 3 feet up and 3 feet out and then as someone else posted along baseboards, under sinks, fridge, etc.
I usually rotate the bifen with suspend. Both work great.

Talstar is fantastic. Cheap and control’s everything except spiders and earwigs

I thought talstar does control spiders?

See spider, spray spider. Don’t see spider then get him a dinner plate. They walk on their microscopic feet and don’t come in enough contact with insecticide to kill them.
That being said spiders are your best friends in the pest control business.

When getting quotes on pest control companies, company A said nothing kills spiders but company B said their product kills spiders because of blah blah blah.
I have no clue who was being truthful, but company B was the cheaper/less reputable company.

I mix and match Bifen XTS and Talstar P to broadcast in my yard and around my house regularly.

Glad I’m not only one thinking this. Appreciate the feedback. It will also save me what they charge. Which is too high imo.

If you treat your own property you'll always do a better job. You'll pay more attention to your issues and treat them as needed.

Kill the food source, and you don't have spiders.

On doymyown.com, how do y’all decide/what do y’all recommend between talstar, Bifen, etc.?
Trying eliminate a quarterly spray from local company with limited results plus I want to control mosquitos (at least a little).
I have a Stihl Backpack fogger and multiple sprayers. Thanks for the help.

Talstar is more and the same as bifen. IT is water based 1oz per gal, the XTS is oil based (no it won’t stain floors) and a 1/4oz per gallon. The XTS also holds a longer residual. I use the bifen granules in the yard and XTS around the house unless more is needed.

They are all the same active ingredient. Talstar is the "name brand". As mentioned before, they have water based and oil based products out there. The regular water based is about 8% active.....and I've purchased the oil base up over 20% active ingredient. Just mix accordingly.

I’ve been using Bifen XTS the last few years. Works great.
