Not a battery issue. It’s the 650 cfm model. Bought it probably six months ago from lowes, never registered it and don’t have receipt. Any chance Ego’s warranty will work for this? Still have the original box it came in.

I think they are pretty good to work with as far as warranty. Been awhile since I've dealt with them though.

They should. Even their refurb stuff has a 1 year warranty.

Sorry man, but in this day and age when you spend what you do on shite like this and it craps out, it’s justified.

Warning

If you buy anything Ego please register it. I recently had a battery that went bad in under 3 years. They have a 5 year warranty and since I couldn’t provide a receipt and I didn’t register it they didn’t want to warranty it.

I asked hypothetically what if this was a gift and I didn’t have a recipient would everyone be shite out of luck? They told me it would be a one time thing and agreed to send me a battery. This is the problem with battery operated shite. My Echo still works great. Stay with gas operated.

We’ve got everything EGO registered the day we got it. Find the receipt and if you can’t, use the same credit card at Lowe’s customer service to pull it up on the date. EGO will need all that info and that is just so they can also confirm when the warranty time should start. You’ll be fine.

I think I have the 650 CFM. Been a while since we bought it but have never had issues.

Not to sound dumb but make sure the battery is locked into that blower.

I have a few of the tools but only use the blower. The battery is now shite and I do not want to buy another. Easier to buy tru fuel for my echo stuff.

Hang onto the old one after you get the new one, I got them to send me a new one and the old one has randomly started working again. Now I’ve got a backup. Ha

I also had a battery die out and no problem getting them to send me a replacement, but I kept the receipts.

Lowes can pull up your transaction. I had to do for one of mine and then registered. Ego sent me a new battery...yes make sure to register from here on.

Just registered my mower I bought this week. There's an option for "gift" I didn't have to select it, but assume there's an avenue to register that way. Also, Lowes can l ikely pull the receipt.

I only pulled the trigger on this due to the warranty. Broke my last cheap mower and decided to go nicer. 5 years equipment, 3 years battery is pretty nice. so registered right away.

Even if you didn't register it when you bought it you can still register it 3 years later. They don't care, you can even register it without a receipt. If you ever have issue with the EGO warranty replacement call center if you are in BR you can go to K&D and they can get it replaced for you. If you don't have a local service center if you join the official facebook group their is a EGO rep that will take care of you if you have a legitimate gripe.

EGO isn't perfect but if you do minimum legwork you can find a solution IF you have a problem. Not having to deal with carbs is reason alone to go battery powered.

my battery went bad right after the 3 year warranty expired, $250 for a new one, spent $500 for a stihl gas trimmer/edger combo and blower instead

and it wasn't the board that failed on it, there were individual 18650 cells that were swollen from overheating

Yeah I got my replacement battery in, charged it up and put it in my weed eater. Worked for 20 seconds, weed eater started smoking, battery flashes all red and doesn’t work in any other equipment and weed eater doesn’t work with a different battery. Wtf
