Hose stuck on Pipe

Alright, two of my three garden hoses are stuck on my pipes, I have tried a lot to get them off but want to hear if anyone else has had similar issues? Avoiding calling a guy if possible

What have you tried?

Is there a calcium buildup coming from the joint?
I had this in my last two houses and cannot figure out why it occurs or how to get the garden hoses off the spigot. They virtually fuse welded together it seemed. I ended up replacing the spigots and put plastic ends on all my water hoses so I could just break the damn things off if it happens again.
I tried soaking the joint in CLR, soaking joints in PB Blaster, heating the joint. Nothing worked for me. I even took the froze joint after I removed the bib for replacement and tried to use two big wrenches to loosen them up and nothing.
For the freeze, if you can't get it off, cut the hose with enough length that you can put another fitting at the end of the hose but still fit it under an insulator.

Pipe Wrench, Channel Locks, PB Blaster.

Had this happen earlier this year because of calcium build up. I think I used CLR and vinegar (not at the same time), and then took a pipe wrench to it and got it loose.

This is the worst because if you turn too hard you could rotate the nipple connection inside the wall! I had this happen recently and I ended up cutting the shitty aluminum fittings off the threads (don’t cut too deep to mar the threads on the spigot. Note: this was cheap quick connects lowes sells, not the actual hose which should be brass (unless it’s a cheap version).
I replaced all of my quick connects with solid brass ones. Cost about $100 for everything but I shouldn’t have the corrosion issue listed above.

What are the hose bibs and pipe ends made of?
Copper, steel, or SS?
Sounds like they may have galled and basically fused together.

I had to do this one time. Used a dremel oscillating tool with the metal cutting blade. Cut it just deep enough and then used a hammer and chisel to crack it. It was a last resort. I was lucky not to damage the threads. I tried heating it with one of those soldering torches until it was glowing and it still wouldn’t come off.

Use a small propane torch to heat up the hose connection. I've have had this happen multiple times and this always works.

Can also try turning it to the right then to the left.
Basically rock it loose.
Counterintuitive to tighten it on, but works a lot of times.

True. But if something is as stuck as this, you're putting so much force in trying to break the connection, any slip up could cause you to rotate the pipe wrench on the nipple or if that slips you rotate the hose bib and nipple.

this is what i did. almost exactly the same. it was so stuck, the outside part peeled back and cracked into multiple pieces.
Note: my house is only 2.5 years old, that's how fast that junk corrodes.

Best option is to get your husband to do it for you.
I keeeeeed. Channel locks and if that fails, get your torch out and heat 'er up.

Happened to me today. Used a small strap wrench.

I had this happen over the summer. Channel locks and PB wouldn’t budge the hose. Because my spigot was easily accessible I bought a new one. Cut the hose, turned off water to the house, removed the spigot and replaced both. Spigots are less than $10.
