I spray Suspend SC every couple months inside and outside, as it does well to keep roaches and spiders out of the house and garage.

Every year though, it seems I’m always having to spray down wasp nests and duck under them flying by whenever I go outside.

Came across Demon Max insecticide that claims to kill and prevent wasps, yellowjackets, etc from taking up residency.

Anyone tried it or have any other recommendations? Thanks!

I say it every year and every year I get downvoted as though it doesn’t actually work. Lambdastar Ultracap 9.7 is what you want to “prevent” wasps. Spray it on every surface around your property. It lasts for up to 12 weeks on surfaces protected from rain and up to a week or two on surfaces not protected from rain. Wasps land on it (and every other insect for that matter) and they die a day or two later. I spray down my home’s exterior walls, eaves, and and window screens with it a couple times a year and I hardly ever find a wasp nest. I used to have tons of them but since starting this regimen, very few. It works.

We spray talstar (bifenthrin) in our shooting houses every spring for wasps and come hunting season you won't find a wasp nest in there. Used to be full of them. Now you only find dead wasps on the floor.

Getting ready to spray again next weekend matter of fact.

I've had very good luck doing this as well. eaves/overhangs and around porch light fixtures. Window openings as well on the brick. All the usual spots and no wasps for most of the season. I try to do it around now before they have a chance to set up nests. It's also much easier to spray the areas when you don't risk getting tagged.

Perhaps the downvotes are not because it doesn't work, but because

Some insects are beneficial?

This is like burning down the jungle to get rid of the weeds. Yeah, good job, the weeds are gone.

I spray DemonMax& Bifen mixed when I spray my home and shop. NO WASP NEST! It works great. I spray about every 90 days. I had them bitches everywhere a couple years ago until I added Demon to the mix.

Talstar kills everything. This is your best bet

Demon WP is very good stuff. has a little more knockdown power than talstar. The two are a great combo as cypermethrin is a great eradicator, while bifenthrin has alot longer residual.

Why don't they make a combo of the two? I wonder if there's some issue mixing them.
