Is it time to fertilize St. Aug?

I put out pre-emergence in early February. With rain coming the next couple of days is it good time to put out Scott's turf builder? Thanks

Depends on how greened up the grass is. 50% green possibly, 75% sure. Don’t use Scott’s. Go to site one and get 20-20-10, 25-3-5, or 16-0-8.

I signed up for the Sunday service to try it out and they told me to do mine the last week of March

Cleggs told me after your second true grass cut

I will say I live in Dallas so south La St Aug won’t look like St Aug up here. Tax day is always a good starting point for ferting St Aug and centipede

I usually do easter weekend. Let it continue to wake up, especially after this hard weather in Houston anyway.

Let it wake up and get a cup of coffee before you make it get to work.

I like this.
Holidays, big event days, are good reminders when to do certain yard activities. Like pruning roses before Valentine’s Day and then again before Labor Day.

Why? Has good reviews from what I saw, no good?

There have been a couple of threads mentioning it on here and another forum that is just about lawn care.
The consensus is that it is a bad product. Their "hollistic" method for getting rid of weeds is just to fertilize the grass so it eventually chokes the weeds out, which doesn't work. When you feed the grass you are feeding the weeds.
There have also been quite a few people that ended up with nitrogen burn.

It's a big waste of money man, I naively did the same.
Then came here, got roasted, did some research and saved myself $100s.
Its a huge rip off.
Depending on your grass, yard size and where you live, literally all you need to do this year is the following.
1) get a pre emergent down yesterday
2) correct fert program (granular is way cheaper than sunday) you can buy a large bag that will last you the whole summer for the price of 1 sunday shipment
3) buy a decent post emergent herbicide (2,4 D; MSM Turf;Celcius)
The above can be done for $100-$150 and will last all summer.
You can return your Sunday pretty easily, at least I did. Got a full refund and they didn't even want the first shipment back.

I put down a pre emergent in the fall but forgot last month to put it down again. Is it too late? Should I just do weed and feed?
Was also going to use that spring cocktail like I did last year that worked pretty well

You're flirting with too late but I would get it down if you can. Will do more good than harm, that is for sure.
Spring cocktail is probably good, might be good to invest in a warm weather herbcide like celcius for later in the summer. It's pricey but Ronk and others swear by it and it lasts a long time.
(everything I type is from relentless questions and answers from Ronk, Crawdude and some others).
This place is a solid resource for sure.

I’ll have to try and return it, it was only 190 for the year though so not sure how that’s saving hundreds

You're going to spend $190 plus all of the additional topical weed treatment you'll still need.
$100-$200 over the course of 2 summers is good enough for me, plus its way more effective.
To each their own though, certainly not trying to steer you away, just coming from someone that wasted a couple treatments of it only to find out its just nitrogen fertilizer.
If you wanted to just buy granular nitro fertilizer, I think you can get a bag of 34-0-0 for $13, and thats a 33lbs bag which will do a pretty big area of Bermuda.
I dump enough money on home improvement so always looking for any kind of saving that are out there.

With fertilizing grass is it a soil temperature thing? Or just waiting til the lawn is fully green? I know you want to avoid a potential frost but down here in coastal Alabama we’re out of those woods in a couple weeks.....maybe now.
