Is there a specific herbicide that works well on poison Ivy?

I have some to get rid of and I’m highly allergic, would rather pump and spray from a distance if I can. Ideally if it didn’t affect other plants that would be great but not 100% necessary. Getting rid of the poison Ivy is priority numero uno. Thanks guys

Glyphosate or triclopyr

Just be aware that the oils will stay on the plant even after it's dead. Use gloves and tyvek suit. Will be easier to remove if dead also.

Be aware that Triclopyr takes a while for it to work.

I’d advise spraying it with high dose glyphosate, waiting a day, then tracing it back to its source and spraying anything that isn’t brown and dead.
It’s also a chance to trace any other vine branches that might be radiating out from the source.
When everything is dead as mentioned do not assume you are safe to grab it without gloves and long sleeves, etc.
Also once you cut it out for the love of all things holy do not burn the vine you removed. I’d put everything you remove immediately into a yard refuse bag from Lowe’s/HD, seal it up and toss it in the trash.

My favorite tip for my fellow poison ivy sufferers: if you know you have been exposed, my experience is that bleach/chlorine will prevent the rash. I assume it reacts with and neutralizes the offending antigen
A short swim in a well chlorinated pool, a bath with a quarter cup of chlorox, being sure to thoroughly soak and scrub all your skin including your face, or take the bottle with you into the shower and with a Clorox-soaked washcloth, wipe down all your skin one limb at a time, then soapy rinse
Hands and face seem to be what I most frequently overlook/ undertreat. Make sure you get between your fingers and around your eyes. if it was hot and you were sweaty, you likely wiped your face quite a bit.
And if you peed, . . .
I don't remember where or when I learned this, but it made enjoyment of the outdoors a lot more pleasant

generic roundup. Mix up the entire sprayer so you can spot treat over the coming weeks.

I can attest to this after clearing brush a couple weeks ago. I used Tecnu on my body afterwards and didn't get any there, overlooked the face/neck and got it pretty bad.

Bleach is overkill…dawn soap has always worked for me.

I mix 4 oz. Roundup Pro Max, 4 oz. Cheetah Pro, 4 oz. Spectracide Weed & Grass Killer Extended Control and 4 oz. Bayer Weed & Grass Kill Super Concentrate to kill all unwanted grass, weeds & poison ivy. The ivy will take a couple/several days to die. If a little is good, a lot is better.
As suggested by others, I wear long sleeves and rubber gloves to remove the ivy once it's dead.

I’d go with trichlopyr

I’ve killed the shite out of poison ivy with 2-4-D

I used rubbing alcohol to dry my skin in the areas I knew were exposed and while I would still sometimes get the rash it would be mitigated to small areas.
To OP, I'll repeat what others have said. Spray the area down with something specific for poison ivy. The oils can still affect you, so layer up and bag everything dead. Spray the area again including any plants, walls, fence that the original vine may have touched. Repeat until you are no longer pulling vines from the ground. Monitor the area closely for the next several weeks to make sure nothing new grows

I've used Bonide BK-32 poison ivy & brush killer with good success. And it doesn't harm Bermuda or zoysia.

This Roundup cocktail pictured above works very well.
