Last two mornings I’ve had termites in one of our toilets

What do I need to check to make sure these bastards aren’t invading?

They swarm to ANY light. I had to put a dish towel to cover the clock on my stove because I’d find some there in the AM. Check seals on windows and weatherstripping around doors. Also, avoid turning outside lights on right by your doors.

Bet they’re coming into your bathroom from the vent/light/heater. I’d go into the attic to check and see if there’s a hole in that ductwork or if they’re in the attic somewhere. I’m no pro though so I could be way off. It’s the first thing I’d check though.

They just come in through the duct. Those vent outside, they just walk right in and then fall in the toilet since there's one usually right above the toilet. Not a big deal.

If they are dead or not flying around in your house, there is nothing to be worried about. We get hundreds of dead ones in our house after a few days of swarm. Never an infestation issue

Doesnt matter where you have seen them, they are about to find a way in. That's what the swarmers do.
