Live Christmas Trees in/near BR

Every year, on the friday after thanksgiving, my family and I go and get a live christmas tree to put in the house. It's fun for all of us, and the kids really enjoy it, and has become a nice tradition. Well, what isn't nice, is the price of real trees nowadays. I used to be able to get a good 9-10' tree for about $150. Last year, they were about $210 at the local nurseries (Clegg's, Louisiana Nursery). Does anyone have any other good places to get trees that don't charge so damn much? Willing to drive about 30-45 minutes from S. Baton Rouge to get it.

It's longer than you want to drive, but we have been going out to Covington the past few years. Tiger Branch Christmas Tree Farm. They are only opened the first weekend after Thanksgiving. They also have a nice Santa on the Saturday for the kids photos if your kids are of that age. We were so glad last year to get a real Santa for our boys. No masks, no Santa-in-a-box nonsense. So a great tree and the best Santa pictures we'd gotten.

We go to Yawn Christmas Tree farm in Independence from BR every year. It’s the best we’ve found. They have some you can cut and they also get shipments of precut in. They’re WAAAAAY cheaper than BR.
Cheapest for good quality I’ve found in BR is the “Toy Soldier Lot” on Perkins near Bluebonnet next to Southern Pearl.

Look up Christmas Town Christmas Tree Farm on FB. They are near Kentwood. My family does the same on the day after Thanksgiving. Prices are very reasonable.

I shouldn't have been, but was shocked at the price of Christmas trees this year. Paid $200 for a tree that was $150 last year.

Just to update, went to Tiger Branch Saturday. The price is $10/foot. That includes any of the 3 varieties they grow.
