Ive redone two small bathrooms in the house but we are looking at the master bathroom and in just too busy at work and we want a walk in shower which im not going to tackle.

So without moving any walls or anything just tile, paint, countertops and replacing jacuzzi tub with shower guy quotes me 180 dollars a foot.

I could add onto the house for that.

Its wild out there.

I am very concerned about the addition for which I am currently working on plans. I’m gonna get raped and end up in the poor house.

Kitchen and baths are much more expensive per s.f. than the rest of a house.Types of finishes can drastically affect the $/s.f. also.

I could put in gold fixtures and venetian marble at 180 square foot.

I’ve never seen a remodel job quoted like that, are you taking $180 sq/ ft of tile? Or of the bathroom? Total?

Does that include tear out and everything Im guessing?

Yes master baths are expensive as hell and contractors especially right now aren’t going to give any sympathy on pricing.

Depending on your finishes, $180 sq ft for a 10x12 down doesn’t seem that bad to me? $22,000 for 120 sq ft?

There's always the option to do it yourself for less.

All the info you need is hanging out on youtube.

What are you so busy at work doing? Making money?

we started our remodel Sept 1, 2020. Finished mid February. We still had a few things we kept in touch with our contractor on, since things ended mostly well between us. Their Project Manager came by to fix something and we talked for a while and he said we'd be looking at close to double what we paid a year ago.

product shortages were just starting to become a thing right as we finished up.

so yeah. it's a crazy time.
