Will I need to purchase a special tool to remove spark plug from my Echo SRM 266 weedeater? I have sockets but not sure which one can be used....thanks

I think it's 19mm, it's kind of short so socket should work. Could probably get a wrench on it maybe. Would have to look at mine.

You won’t need a special tool. Just a socket that fits. Don’t over tighten.

One of my best investments was getting a set of deep sockets from Harbor Freight.

You can use a standard deep socket, but spark plug sockets have a rubber insulator in them.

You can buy sockets designed specifically for spark plugs. Just need to get the size of your spark plug and head to the hardware store and buy a matching socket.
These sockets fit on standard ratchets (usually 3/8" ratchets) and are designed to keep the plug from shattering during insertion or removal. Some have rubber inserts to protect the spark plug, but I think a lot of people like the magnetic ones better.
Also, you can buy them with swivel arms, which might be more convenient than just buying the socket by itself. Something like this one from Amazon:

Again, make sure you know the size of the spark plug socket before you order.
