-Shea called Josh Wednesday morning to let him know that LSU was going to be the pick. All the other insiders we're saying it was between Miami & Oregon.

-Shea didn't believe it until he actually joined Josh's show and announced. When he pushed the commitment date up after the Oregon visit LSU had to counter.

-This is why you bring Corey Raymond back. Doesn't matter if they're in Texas, Louisiana or Florida.

-LSU's NIL since bringing back Austin Thomas can be seen in this DJ Pickett recruitment. The other two finalists are two NIL powers.

-Follow up on Saturday LSU pulls Derek Meadows. They don't make him on trees 6'6 205 pounds with elite track speed.

-When they missed on CJ Wiley they go out and replace him with Meadows. Derek said to start the month he was trending to ND but wanted to see the SEC schools.

-Big on getting him into the class and wants to play with Bryce Underwood. Derek is originally from Michigan so there is a tie with Bryce.

-Tigers are going to push for Phillip Wright III, Jamie Ffrench & Kaliq Lockett

-Jonah Williams has been getting mentioned in the Jonah Williams sweepstakes as a possible darkhorse

-Shea thinks that LSU has a legit chance. Oklahoma was thought the team to beat early on. Kid is from Galveston and wants to play baseball as well

-Coaching changes at A&M & Texas so now it appears Texas is going to get a visit this week. LSU has always hung around. Top two keeps changing but LSU is always there.

-LSU selling a chance for a #1 class. Jonah has been around LSU and does he show up at the Bayou Splash? If he does that could be telling.

-Rumors keep swirling about reclassifying but Shea thinks he would've done it by now. Not learning that way.

-Tons of smoke with a lot of teams such as USC, Ohio State and he's the top DL.

-St Aug kid and Frank is running point. I don't see them letting him leave the state. It could get ugly but at the end of the day LSU is the team to beat for Stewart.

I get DL tend to have shorter NFl careers so reclassifying could get him to the NFL earlier and this give him one more year of pro ball

but DT also have trouble adjusting to College football physically and reclassifying cuts a whole extra year of development.

I assume they will eventually get there but what does 247 see that the others don't which is keeping them from giving Stewart the 5th star?

Oregon obviously has the allure of Nike, which is by no means insignificant. They're also a solid program. But the campus is a LONG way from places like Galveston, TX, Tampa, FL, etc. That's not to say they won't get their share of kids from well outside the region. But sometimes when the the reality of going that far away from home starts to set in guys/families begin to have some reservations. It's easy to be all-in...in July...because life isn't changing much right now. But as you get closer to December those emotions of going far away from home, for all involved, sometimes start to kick in. That's not just for football players. It's for all kids/families.

That's what the word is but we're all waiting on the list to drop. Sounds like a busy weekend for kids stopping by for a day then headed to their next location.

Getting a 5* corner and a 5* safety from out of state in same class… Not to mention, #1 overall and a 5* receiver all from oos? Yeah, I’d say LSU is a big player on the NIL stage now.

i believe they end up with 32 - 5 stars eventually on 247 to mimic the 1st round of the draft (as you see with Meadows). not sure what the timeline is but they have him 10th overall - firmly in 5 star territory

Shea may be incorrect about Meadows birthplace. Pretty sure he’s from Illinois not Michigan.

Didn't Meadows say he was from Michigan? Thus, the connection with Underwood?
