Peyton Houston finished 2-3rd according to most analyst at the event! Haven finished 5-6 by analyst. Nebraska commit Taylor consensus #1. Hope he stays injury free this year.

I saw videos of Haven throwing the ball and he has the measurables and raw ability, but in my opinion he's a good ways off from being a starting QB in the SEC. Long, kind of hitchy throwing motion and wobbly ball.

I think Houston will be the better overall college QB and will start earlier, but Haven will probably be drafted higher.

Rival's analyst Charles Power said he's the most accurate and polished. Also notes that Houston shows the ability to process better than most (ie the trait that can't be taught). Processing and accuracy are a great combo. A lot of very physically talented QBs look great until they are required to perform quickly and under pressure and then they fall apart.

I'm pulling for him...I have doubts with 5'10 QB's but with his arm, footwork, anticipation..he could be one of the few 5'10 QBs that thrive.

I trust Lane...I hope he becomes a baby Flutie..

Sloan's problem wasn't finding QBs, and he was good at being a QB coach. He was just a terrible OC

Haven will be an extremely long line of guys who are overrated because of their “upside”..but they ignore things that actually make QBs good. Decision making, accuracy, quick release, fundamentals

There are so so many QBs the last 5 years who are 6’4+ and can run and disappear immediately in college.

It'll be interesting to see if he sticks at bama long enough to start. I did think it was interesting that supposedly Lane nor anyone else made contact with him after he got the job, they were all-in on Houston.

Would love to know how they actually pick the winner. The consensus of day one was Taylor 1 and Pop 2. Day two was Pop 2 and Taylor down around 5 or 6. Then Pop had really good day 3 yet Taylor expected to be consensus best QB? I don’t care as I like the QB we got and think he can be a great college qb especially in Lanes offensive style system. Just seem like they just pick their favorite dude is all. Which is fine if that’s what they choose to do.

The winner list from the last decade plus is a lot of meh. Best QB's to win were Tua, Stroud, and Caleb Williams.

Paying a premium for a raw talent like Haven is bad money.

You’re just paying to develop him for the inevitable second stop when he’s pissed because he’s not the starter as a RS fresh

If Houston was 3 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier, he'd be a 5 star. He's gonna be a great one.

Yea man, these are terrible outcomes.

2025 - Dia Bell (Too early to tell)
2024 - Keelon Russell (too early to tell)
2023 - Julian Sayin (Heisman finalist)
2022 - Jackson Arnold (he stinks)
2021 - Cade Klubnik (solid, nothing special)
2020 - Caleb Williams (Heisman winner)
2019 - CJ Stroud (Heisman finalist)
2018 - Spencer Rattler (solid, nothing special)
2017 - Justin Fields (Heisman finalist)
2016 - Tua (Heisman finalist)

50/50 chance at a Heisman finalist = "a lot of meh"
