Kamari Lands-Louisville

Playing in all 32 games and making six starts, the 6-foot-8, 220-pound wing demonstrated flashes of potential as a scorer and three-point shooter on multiple occasions, averaging 5.9 points per game while shooting 32.1 percent on three point attempts. That being said, he struggled with consistency, shooting only 32.6 percent from the field and averaging just 1.9 rebounds per game, while often struggling as a defender.

Portal has now hit 180. Lot's of options but a lot of low stat guys with not much playing time to judge them on. MM has got a lot of work.

He'd fit right in at LSU, unfortunately.

We are going to have to throw some money around, borderline tamper, to get what we need to compete next year. I don’t know if we have the $$ or backers to do it.

It's early, and a lot of those low stat guys might be freshmen losing playing time to the covid year seniors.

The top players from big schools aren’t likely to transfer. They will have to look at the best players at smaller schools who want more exposure. Even then LSU will have to compete with other big schools for their signatures.

My expectations are basically zero. Maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised. It could happen.

Devin Ree is in the portal. Previously signed with LSU until Wade was terminated. He subsequently signed signed with Louisville.

Headed to McNeese….

MM needs to throw a ton of NIL money to the best PG in the portal.

Just a couple of names I saw enter the portal, not sure if we have reached out or anything but they would be good adds.

Jaemyn Brakefield Ole miss forward- averaged 11/6 35% from 3

Eddie Lampkin TCU Center- only Averaged 6/6 in 20 mins but can't tech size

Primo Spears Georgetown Guard- averaged 16/5(ast) didn't shoot that well from 3 but may have to do with how bad Georgetown was.

Tyler Nickel from UNC entered. He was a freshman this past year and while he doesn’t have great numbers he was a 4 star recruit and the all time leading scorer in VA high school basketball. He’s a shooter with some athleticism. Lots of upside.
