Seems to be an obvious flip candidate.

Are there any potential targets to replace him?

I’ll have to look around. What I have noticed is when the On3 LSU guys go silent when other places are reporting LSU possible flips it’s a sign.

Not sure what they’re being quiet about. He’s been on visits to USCe frequently since his commitment to us.

I wonder if there's just an order of operations over at on3. Like the LSU insiders have had quite a few commits or flips to us from others that they've kept quiet until the kids are ready to release it (even though there's been rumors and stuff floating around on other boards e.g. Kade Phillips).

If Tyler flips, I think it's a one TE class with JD, and then we pick up a portal TE or 2 as depth (unfortunately I think Pimpton transfers out so we'll need reinforcements).

If there's an order of operations, only LSU follows it. Personally I believe it is just different philosophies of how to do business. Guys like Wiltfong and Simmons likely are constantly on the phone harassing kids, parents, friends, coaches etc trying to scoop everyone. It's literally the top qualification of their job. Problem is, they get misled a bit and they don't care about the kids moment. Only about being ahead of the industry in getting it out even if the information isn't correct. The advent of the crystal ball/RPM ended the mystery in recruiting for the most part. Particularly the ability to change them.

So in your opinion basically Fong is trying to be like Woj was during the NBA Draft for years, tweeting out the pick just before the Commish could announce it.

Clout chasing… pretty weak.

LSU On3 guys have been reporting him as a flip candidate for a few weeks now. Nov 5 bengal tiger podcast for sure. Think it was mentioned before that too

We can find an in state kid that wants to be here to take his spot. We already have the Lafleur kid committed at TE.

Being respectful to the kids and letting them have their moment to announce things, rather than front running the announcement for the sake of being the breaking news guy.

I really like his tape. Good athlete, very good after the catch. Reminds me more of an H-Back than a standard tight end.
