So you’re saying (without actually saying) …. What?

That Ed Orgeron was the best coach LSU ever had?

i’d didn’t count the 6-2 interim year to be completely fair. He went 15-0 year three.

I am literally making no point with this. just putting everyone out there so every guy who coached at LSU didn’t need his own thread.

Ed O has the most wins of any coach in tbe list OP pasted up here.

I assumed that meant he was trying to show us that Ed O is the best coach.

Because the point of all this is we want LSU to win as many games as possible.

Right?

He didn’t say it - which I pointed out. I read “between the lines”. Know what I mean?

I mean look at O’s last 3 years and he has more loses even with a 15-0 season included.

there was a reason we got rid of O

I'm going to break it off with Biff Jones because he was the first to coach in the SEC:

quote:

Biff Jones 20-5-6

64.5% win

quote:

Bernie Moore 18-5-3

69.2%

quote:

Gaynell Tinsley 15-15-2

46.8%

quote:

Dietz

36.6%

quote:

Mac

72.7% ( )

quote:

Stovall

52.9%

quote:

Arns

76.4% ( )

quote:

Archer

62.8%

quote:

Not crazy about that guy

36.3%

quote:

Dinardo

72.2% ( )

quote:

frick that guy

68.4%

quote:

Miles

85%
(sorry - I had some math flubs)

quote:

O

83.7% ( )

quote:

Kelly

72.2% ( )

So, of the 14 permanent LSU head coaches who coached in the SEC, the average "1st 3" winning percentage is: 64.6

The guy with the lowest 1st 3 percentage is the worst LSU HC of all time. The guy with the second lowest won a NC. The guy with the highest is an outcast and, effectively, a non-person at LSU.

Few want to remember Mac fondly (I do, of course), but he was a 70% career winner and a CFB HOF inductee as a coach. Arns left at his peak, Archer and Dinardo oversaw major collapses. Folks lionize a guy who did well, won a championship, left us in a lurch, then spent the next 2 decades taking shite from us. But, his first 3 years with us were JUST AVERAGE.

This is why 49% of the country still voted for Kamala. We need to shut down the Dept. of Education ASAP.
