SEC with 10 regional host sites
1. Tennessee 8-1

Kentucky (4-5) is a 3 seed in the 14. Louisville regional, making it 11 SEC teams in the field in all tying last year’s record. League of haves and have nots this year to have 10 hosts and everyone else missing the field all together sans Kentucky.
Missing a regional:
Florida 1-8
Miss State 1-8
South Carolina 1-8
Texas A&M 1-8
Missouri 0-9

What a waste of time.

Of course...if you are looking at is as a projection/prediction.
Really, it's more of just a snapshot of where things stand today and gives you a basis to compare LSU with the rest of the country. Obviously a LOT will change between now and the end of May

No SEC team has ever made a regional with 12 conference wins before so a lot of work to do for any of the 1-8 teams who would need a winning conference record from here on out just to get to 12 wins.
Preseason #1 A&M has to play an away series against the top 4 teams in the country and a series against #5 LSU too. They’re already cooked

I fully expect that we will be paired with the Oregon State regional.

Pair us with UNC
Unfinished business with them

Ready to tear up some Beaver again. I'd take this. Duke fans could be fun in BR.

It is. over the last 4 years there’s been 8 different teams in the CWS finals and are all in the SEC.
ETA SEC would have 7 different national champions over the past 7 seasons too if not for this:

Yeah, the committee likes to do that. If they don't send us west, they'll pair us with a western regional.

That'd be a trip to Omaha.

Hey, that's where I grew up! Just feed Duke fans, and they'll love us. It happened to me.

I think the Pac-12 still technically exists, Oregon State is one of the only schools that stayed, along with Washington State. But more schools will be joining soon.

Didn't Oregon State play as an Independant this year? Or maybe next year where most of their games are on the road ?
Looks like they did. Not part of any conference. PAC 12 is done
