You think he gets drafted?

Yes. Won’t be as high as he could have gone last year if he had agreed on a number. I believe we probably got calls in rounds 3-4 a year ago. Think he’ll be picked somewhere between 5-8 this year.

You more positive than me for sure i don't think he goes in the top 10 rounds

I think yall are drastically mistaking how much the mlb cares about a cold spell during a season. I’d be shocked if he goes past 10 rounds.

Just won a series vs a top 15 team.

Literally on pace to win 20 SEC games and Vegas has us with one of the best odds to win it all.

Just because yall are soft doesn't mean the team is

We're going to have a few newcomers and freshman. We'll lose some of those guys.

Last month someone posted we were trying to get Dalton Beck an extra year of eligibility due to his juco year, I wonder if there’s been any news on that. Dude hit .360 with 20 bombs last year, he’s stuck in a crowded OF this year.

Larson likely leaves unless he’s guaranteed a spot
He tore up cape cod last season

I could see Frey at 1B. I’m sure they give him some work in the cape and fall to prepare

Jones has one tool that is off the charts: his power. It didn’t go anywhere. I think he’s pressing and he doesn’t have the protection this year that he had last year. It’s not like he’s ever been a super high average guy against high level pitching, He hit 0.273 a year ago in the SEC. Knowing he had an off year, I could see some team that likes him for his power taking inside the first five rounds if he agrees to a below slot number.

No chance

Jared is the #1 ranked first baseman in the draft and power like his is rare.

Shores is incredibly raw but he does have a great build and he is consistently pumping upper 90's with a breaking ball that does work when he can control it.

MLB drafts off potential and both of these guys have that in spades and they'll lose leverage if they come back.

This exercise is pointless in April. There's 3 spots locked down, max.

C - Arrambide/transfer
1B - Costello/Frey/transfer
2B - Freshman/transfer
3B - Pearson/fresmhan/transfer
SS - Milam
LF - freshman/transfer
CF - Curiel
RF - Brown
DH - Frey/Larson/Pearson/Costello/transfer

Friday -Evans/Schmidt/Williams/Rizy/freshman/transfer
Saturday - Evans/Schmidt/Williams/Rizy/freshman/transfer
Sunday - Evans/Schmidt/Williams/Rizy/freshman/transfer

One thing is for certain.. LSU will most definitely have one of the deepest and best pitching staffs in baseball only to find out that they were way off on that prediction yet again once SEC play starts and half the pen turns into little league level pitchers who can’t throw a strike even if home plate was the Pacific Ocean.

Just the yearly false hype

In SEC play, LSU has the 2nd best ERA, 2nd most strikeouts, 4th best BAA.

Clearly, the pitching approach has worked. You're going to walk more guys when you have strikeout first pitchers. You're also going to give up less hits and less runs.
