The Advocate - Back in January, nine months before LSU hosted Army for the first time this weekend, Veronica Finucane began coordinating with Army football staff members to provide food once the team arrived in BR. Finucane’s son, Connor is a team captain as a senior and a three year starter on the offensive line who went to Catholic in BR.

The meal has been in the works ever since. A close family friend with a catering company made chicken and dumplings, red beans and rice, and chicken and sausage gumbo. Veronica even included a baby bottle of Tobasco for everyone. “I made it my mission to make sure we fed the team,” she said.

TTT- LSU fans tailgating, when you see Army fans and alumni, invite them over to enjoy La cuisine as well. It’s what the people of Louisiana do, it’s what families of our young men dedicated to serving our country deserve.

I’d like to think the chicken and dumplings is to appease the picky eaters

Oh! What a novel suggestion! Unlike all the other games, maybe THIS time we'll invite the opposing fans to join in the fun and food, instead of pelting them with piss balloons.

So glad they let us know what we should do

ETA: I thought this was the bAdvocate writing this article.

Sorry TTT. I can't stand the bAdvocate

Yeah I’m trying to think when LSU fans aren’t generally inviting people to eat food.

That’s our thing.

The piss balloons are for during the game and after.

Make it your mission to feed them all. Those are your marching orders. Don’t let a woman be a better man than you!

Yeah, people are acting like this haven't always been some huge thing and that army is special.

We are a rowdy fanbase with a rocking stadium and Army deserves to get the full force of that Death Valley experience (which, I mean, they won't, REALLY, but some of it)

They'll also be fed some amazing food, offered drink...like everyone else. They'll also be Tiger Baited.

They deserve the experience as much as anyone, and some of y'all are acting like it's a team of Make-a-Wish kids

I thought this thread was about the Army mom ordering take out from a restaurant in Lakeview called La Cuisine... but it looks like it closed after Katrina.

And it won’t be pleasant if they had plenty of the Tabasco.

I honestly can't wait for this game to be over. The shite like this that I've been reading all week has gotten nauseating. This whole "we have the classiest fans" obsession is weird.
