Yeah, I would rather some idiot yelling on radio, HR by Jack Hunt, Jack Hunt just walked it off. Tigers Win, Tigers Win! Only to have to go back and edit it.

Chris is a professional not an amateur.

There’s a reason he does this for a living. People just love to complain and after that they needed something, anything.

Horrible call. Could tell the emotion was forced. Hawthorne would have genuinely went nuts.

There was once a time when I would mute the TV and listen to the LSU radio network, but that ended with Blair. He is awful, and after all these years, he still hasn’t gotten any better. He’s robotic, and his love for LSU feels scripted.

Tigers win a big game in stunning fashion and you miserable frickers have to find something to bitch about. Such a fricking entitled group of "fans,"

Baseball is not Blair’s sport.

Oof. Not a great call for such a big moment.

I wouldn't go out of my way to give an opinion about the call, but since there is a thread I would agree it wasn't that great. Not a complaint. Just an opinion.

I loved Lyn's call.

I listened to it again and it’s obvious Chris was losing his voice. One tends to do that at 1:30 am.

Blair calls games like he’s not from around here and not a true fan that’s forcing himself to show excitement.

That’s pretty awful considering the context of the game

Lynn is much better at baseball than Blair.

Yep. Even the LSU Baseball acct on Twitter didn’t use that call. You know Hawthorne would have nailed it

It was to straight away center and I guess he couldn’t confidently celebrate it as a walkoff with no fans in the stands to use as a reference. Ensley running back to the wall on a ball that landed over the batters eye is a bit comical nonetheless

In Blair’s defense, I’ve sat directly behind home plate on the top row of the yellow seats. Those balls hit to straight away center are very hard to judge because you can't tell how fast it is gaining ground. Also like you said, the centerfielder does a good job of making you think he's tracking a ball 50 feet over his head.

Hindsight 20/20, he should have paused a half a second and watched what the ball was doing. An iconic LSU baseball moment without a call to go with it.

Over the batters eye?

Let Blair do basketball, bring in someone new for football and baseball. He can’t call a football game, it’s awful
