Clemson stole Auburn's colors & mascot

The godfather of Clemson football came from Auburn. He brought the practice jerseys from Auburn which had faded. The blue turned to a lighter color hence their colors. Clemson can't come up with anything original...it's a faux tiger school. Jan 13 is all that matters.

Credit to CNB on the SEC Rant but they have Mike the Tiger plastered in their locker rooms as a mural.

I've been making their fans mad on Twitter this week about this. I already knew the story. Their death valley 1942, The Death Valley 1924. Who cares when someone claims they labeled it. On and on they borrow/ stole everything

They're purple and orange, not blue.

They also have a non-mascot, confusing item related to the program like Auburn.
But where Auburn picked an eagle, Clemson had a former coach leave them with a rock. Nothing rare, like a moon rock or a meteor, and nothing remarkable like a boulder. Just some rock he found.

LSU got the name "Mike" for the Tiger from an Auburn grad, Mike Chambers, who was LSU's team trainer at the time; he was responsible for obtaining Mike I from the Little Rock Zoo. Mike's original name was Sheik.

No on Auburn, he was from New Orleans and eventually graduated from LSU.

Chambers graduated from LSU in August 1938 with a degree in health and physical education, and he left Baton Rouge in 1939 to become the head trainer at UCLA, where he trained future Baseball Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson.

Okay. Maybe I'm thinking of Mike Donahue. One of "our" Mikes was from Auburn.
