We had a tournament in Gulfport this weekend, and one of our parents bumped into DC and told him even though they were season ticket holders, his son was never able to meet him or get his autograph. DC told him what field they would be watching his GF's brother on and for him/our team to come take pics.
Everyone went over and he took a pic with our team, then later on he stopped to take individual pics with all the kids and some of the parents.
He wasn't being accosted by people there, as I guess he's not as well known there as he would be here. He was awesome to the kids and acted like it was no big deal when we thanked him for doing it even though it drew a lot of attention to him.
Cheers DC
P.S. He was coy when we asked him if he could come back

I don’t know the guy, but somehow, this is exactly what I’d expect him to be like.
Glad to hear he is good people.

I guess there's a chance that anyone who stands to be rich and famous has to put on a good face when out in public, but it seemed genuine to me
ETA: I didn't talk to his GF but others did, and she sounds like she is a great person as well.

It could be an act. Doesn’t seem like it though.

DC and his family are high quality people. LSU was fortunate to have them on board for a couple of years.

Great kid and family, we hangout with his parents a decent amount during and after the game and he comes up and talks to my daughter like he has known her forever. His parents and brother are great people too and treat my daughter so well. Mr Rick has actually given my daughter his field pass multiple times to go on the field after the game to see DC . They have zero problems interacting and showing the fans love. truly wish we could get him for another year
Funny story one time we was standing by the stairs by the locker room after a game and my daughter walked up on the concourse above the dugout and a little while later rick came down and i told him my daughter was going to be upset she missed him and he said she just saw me and has my field pass. Im sitting there chilling and she out there living her best life lol

Curiel is a class act and always has been. He always takes time to sign autos and take pics with the fans.
My oldest son wore a Curiel jersey to a game earlier this year. DC’s dad saw it and took him out in the field to mingle with the players after the game. A memory he will never forget!

If she doesn't hang onto to him it looks like SwampBandit's daughter is positioning herself for the job (assuming she is of appropriate age).

We stayed at the team hotel in Knoxville for the Tennessee series. DC is a great kid, signed my daughters shirt and took a picture with her and our golden retriever lol
