Eh, as big a douche as Vitello is, he's an elite coach.
He'll have them ready by tonight

They very much can, they are a good team.
This board was saying the same shite about Texas after we took game one.

Momentum is just an at bat away. Let's get a lead tonight instead of waiting so late.

Texas was different we arse whipped them game 1
This was a come from behind win/ collapse.
I agree though they are still a good team. Now they have had Saturday and Sunday problems. We need a clean first and then crookedness on them

You remember the Florida beat down of LSU at the CWS at game 2 and then the LSU win at game 3.
If anything it focuses Tenner and they are a good club. It’s baseball it is just as easy to lose by 10 as win by 10. Every game and every inning is new.

My point is that momentum in baseball is only as good as who you're pitching next.

Believe it when I see it....the Yankees would have trouble with that one.

They can. That said, I hope we start out like gang busters and score several runs early.

Not just that, but Florida won Game 2 after losing a heartbreaker in Game 1. I don’t believe in day to day momentum in baseball, really. There’s the old saying “momentum is only as good as the next day’s starting pitcher.”(Now, I do believe in it for longer periods if you start running off a win streak, that can really build confidence and snowball).
But Tennessee is really good, and I’m sure they’ll be ready to play tonight. Didn’t somebody get run-ruled last week or the week before in Game 1, and came back and swept a double header the next day? I just think with good teams and as many games as you play, baseball is the one sport where it’s easiest—for good teams—to put yesterday’s game behind them.
That said, I think it’s much less to do with Tennessee than it is with us. Can we take the juice from that win and the juice that will probably have the Box rocking tonight at its peak and put together some better ABs earlier in the game? Can our pitchers (would be nice to only have to use 2 again) channel the energy from the Box and raise their performance or will they be too hyped and not quite as sharp as they have been?

Baseball is a day-to-day game.
Remember folks saying LSU couldn't recover from the beating they took from Florida in game 2 of the cws?

I will say I think the Box contributed to the errors in the 9th. Both those balls were hit pretty hard btw (I think Frey’s chopper was like 101 off the bat), and Tennessee will kick it and throw it around if we give them a chance and quit flying out so much.
But damn, what a win. I know he didn’t throw much, but you almost feel like you have to win every game Cowen pitches. At least his 1st outing. You could tell he wasn’t quite as sharp for quite as long in Game 3 last week after having pitched, even the little bit he did in Game 1.

Honestly don’t think last night is good or bad for Tennessee either way
You are always just one bad inning from clawing back into an Sec baseball game
It will be another dog fight
Hopefully Eyanson has good stuff

And to beat them on a Friday with that filthy lefty is a huge shot in the arm. That is one of the best lefties in the country.
