First time Tiger Stadium visitor questions

Hey y’all - Michigan fan here. I’m coming to New Orleans for work at the end of October and my wife and I are going to make a trip up to Tiger Stadium for the Auburn game.
Because this is a bucket list trip, I’m thinking we’re going to splurge on tickets rather than taking the cheapest ones we can get. Suggestions on best places to sit/avoid?
Also probably going to book an Airbnb and wondering if folks have suggestions on ideal location for that.
Really looking forward to this trip. Any other advice welcome!

I'd avoid tickets on the East side of the stadium if possible. That would be the 300 sections... the seats are great, but if it's a day game you'll have the sun in your face.

It's highly unlikely this will be a day game, so you really don't have to worry about the sun. Just stay out of the uppers and as close to midfield as possible and you'll be golden.
If you have the choice between east and west get the west but don't pass on good tickets on the east side for the very slim chance it's a day game.
ETA: Ignore everything I just said. The west side is the best side.

I would buy your tickets to that game sooner than later. It's going to be a big one. Best bet is to find a few AirBNB potential rentals and ask on here if the area is a good one.

I haven't seen many nice places in Baton Rouge on AirBnB during football season. I would just get a hotel room or go back to NOLA after the game.

Why do you say this?

It's going to be a 2:30 CBS game.

What other game that day would be at 2:30?

It's almost a certainty.
100s are $500+ on StubHub right now. East are under $300. So you can save $400+ if you sit in the sun. Late October won't be too bad.

If you leave at halftime or maximum, midway through the 3rd, the traffic will not be too bad.

North Endzone. Best seats in the house IMO. You’ll get the full experience there. Right next to the band and the student section. Been sitting there since I was a baby and when sitting elsewhere, it’s just not the same.

Wear your Michigan gear and walk around the tailgates. You'll end up being invited to join the party and offered food/drink while discussing mutual dislike of Urban Meyer.
North end zone is where the student section and band is at if you wanted to be in the loudest part of the stadium. LSU is on the west sideline, which would be the shaded side of the stadium in case its a day game, which looking at the rest of the SEC schedule for that day...its a pretty good chance CBS takes LSU-Auburn for the 2:30 slot.
Avoid any streets named after presidents.

Anything on the west side 15 or so rows up is the sweet spot. Below that is too low. I also like the tiger terrace seats (upper deck) but don’t get much higher in the upper deck. Your priority should be the west side of the stadium.

Sit with the student section and ad lib Neck to every song the band plays with us. You and your wife would cherish that memory forever

Also, look into Rally Bus. They bring you from New Orleans to the Stadium and back to New Orleans after the game.

Arkansas @ Alabama
Auburn @ LSU
Miss St @ A&M
Mizzou @ Kentucky
S Carolina @ Tennessee
Considering that's the SEC lineup for that week that CBS has to pick from, its almost certain that LSU-Auburn will be their 2:30 game.

I would be interested in your opinion of the crowd noise level compared to The Big House. Your stadium is one big bowl whereas LSU is a stacked level stadium of similar capacity. We have heard opposing players over the yrs say how intense the crowd can be and how close they are to them

I second the rally bus suggestion...that is a stellar mode of transportation.
