How popular is Marucci equipment in college baseball?

I was watching a bit of Oklahoma vs Notre Dame when there was a closeup of the Sonner 3rd baseman wearing a Marrucci glove. Then I noticed the same for the pitcher and maybe the catcher. Bats were harder to see, but some had a familiar M.
How popular is Marucci gear in college ball? Their stuff is expensive.

I doubt the players are picking up the tab for the equipment

It’s all over college baseball.

extremely. They are extremely popular at all levels of baseball.

pretty much the same price as other equipment. their top end gloves are actually cheaper than top end rawlings heart of the hide or wilson 2k series.
their bats are same or cheaper than others.
newsflash though.....baseball is an extremely expensive sport.

Teams that are sponsored by them are going to use there stuff exclusively. No different than Easton, Louisville Slugger, and others.

Nothing beats the old silver with green writing Easton bats, the 331/2” 30oz was a killer.

plenty that followed were much better. but all of those are banned now. easton did re-release the green and silver OG though in bbcor. Its not as hot as many other though, so not real common.

Pretty sure the gloves are cheaper than A2000s. Those are outrageous.

It’s gaining more popularity by the season. Don’t think it’s any more overpriced than other gloves although I haven’t bought one of those in awhile. I believe it’s quality quality stuff and the bats have evolved since the days I was using the Marucci Cat 5 bbcor

My kids summer ball high school team is a Marucci Team. Some tournaments they have to wear all Marucci gear except shoes and gloves. Bats also.
This is his opinion.
Marucci wood bats are top notch.
Alloy bats are ok, all BBCOR bats are benign.
Helmets don’t fit right. Prefer Easton.
Prefer Mizuno gloves.
The batting gloves wear out after a few tourneys.
The full length pants are hot and feel funny. The knickers are great.
Their dry fit tees and practice shirts are great, that’s what I buy for myself.

Marucci gloves are well below average. I'd put them below Wilson, Rawlings, Easton, Nokona, and even Mizuno for starters.

Crazy how we don’t see as many teams using Easton anymore. BBCOR era killed Easton bats. Now all branded bats are pretty much equal.
Marucci has pretty good gloves I think, especially for how much cheaper they are, than other gloves. No glove is as good as the A2000 though.

prolly below rawlings, wilson and nikona....dont agree about the others. But the new capital series is up there with those, though a notch below.
Marucci is much cheaper than the 3 above too. and they use a softer leather that is much easier to break in to. fricking Rawlings heart of the hide is a bitch to break in no matter what you do.

imo once broken in....heart of the hide is right there with the a2000. depending on position one is better than the other imo. middle infield i agree a2000 is best imo.

lol, marucci gloves are garbage.
Yes, easier to break in but that should be a concern for 8-12 year olds, not college aged boys nor high school.
Marucci gloves are a work in progress. I think they hired some Wilson guy that's overhauling their line.

They are everywhere. I have never seen a bat become as popular as that Cat X two piece they are all swinging. My kid who is a baseball gear junkie says you cant get one right now, I dont know if that is accurate. He says alot of stuff.

pretty sure they did too and the new ones that are considered their top of the line are nice. Even the older top of the line models were nice.
I have had both the a2000, heart of the hide and the marucci in my hand side by side....the wilson and the rawlings are nicer but the marucci is also nice.
my young kid has one of the lower level lines and my oldest has a catchers mitt that is a lower level line. neither come close to the quality of the wilson or rawlings.
all i am saying is the top of the line is nice, not as nice as wilson or rawlings, but they are also signficantly cheaper too.

Coming out with a new line in July

Maruccis biggest problem is their lacing. It sucks and their gloves just wont hold shape. Spend 60 bucks and get one relaced and it changes the whole picture.
My kid had one, I dont know the series but it was top of their line about 5 years ago. It was a rag after just a year. Relaced, and it was great. Just got another lace job on it just to have it around.
He has A2k and A2000 now. Both are superior. Looking at new cathers mitts and it seems Wilson is on top of that game too.
