Jay needs some Credit...

He put in a player who had 5 at bats all season, in a gigantic moment in the game, and he drilled a base hit to start the scoring. I remember it was earlier this week or last weekend when Jay did the same, and I along with many others questioned this move.

didn't he really turn it home towards the end of the season and post-season last year? Hoping that is the case.

I questioned pinch hitting him before in a key moment, but not last night. People criticize Jay for saying great things about his players, but I actually believed what he said about Beck. How he would start at a lot of major programs. What's so wrong with giving your guys confidence? The negativity from some posters is tiresome. I appreciate seeing him get some credit here.

A couple of thoughts:
1) Pinch hitting for Arrambide is much different than pinch hitting for Stanfield.
2) If Beck is really that good of a hitter, he should be getting more at bats.
