Seems like every post commenting about a player leaving early into the transfer portal ends with.... Well Joe Burrow quit on Ohio State too or is that different? (Moscona just did this on his morning podcast thing)

Actually it is. Joe Burrow GRADUATED from Ohio State. He didn't leave mid season or even during his undergraduate time at Ohio State. He COMPLETED his time there and GRADUATED.

There is a huge difference between that and all the rest. A graduate transfer was always understood and accepted. I'm not saying it's 100% valid or even in good taste to call all these kids quitters either. Things change. I see nothing wrong with a player who doesn't want to be here to leave. It's odd when it's your starting quarterback, but still if he's not happy then why would we even want him here? But don't compare him to what Joe Burrow did.

Yep. ZERO LSU fans are shitting on Brennan transferring? Why? Because he served this time. I heard Moscona say if Max is a quitter then Burrow is a quitter.

No sitting for 4 years, getting a degree. Then deciding to move on because you are about to be out of eligibility without a shot to play. IS NOT the same is packing your shite and leaving when you are the starting QB.

You should stop right there and ignore it. That guy and Jordy vomit at the mouth.

Every day Jordy has another worry or urgency about the football program.

He also transferred after the spring after he competed for the job and was told it wasn’t going to be him.

I don’t personally care what the kids do, it’s their lives, but that’s another difference too if we’re pointing them out.

Are you under the impression that Burrow is the only player to ever transfer in to LSU?

People on here love to cry when things to go our way, but when it favors LSU you don't hear a word. You can't have your cake and eat it to. We will benefit from transfers, that's a guarantee.

It’s

The

Same

Portal!!!

There is not separate portal for different class levels!

If a kid wants to get paid to play in the pro’s or even now with NIL, he needs to shine! No way they can shine sitting on the bench!

Burrow is a great example of why the portal works. Jalen hurts too.

Both are mega millionaires and stars for their respective nfl teams.

He also was never going to start for Ohio State

When’s the last time a guy started the entire season for someone then transferred and it not be a graduate transfer?

If you are arguing burrow transferring and Johnson/deion transferring as the same thing than you don’t deserve my time.

What a ridiculous notion

My opinion is... if a player makes an informed decision to transfer because it's the best move and it is in his best interest, then so be it and I wish him well. In Max's case, I don't know what is going on behind the scenes, but on the surface, transferring just doesn't add up. Maybe we'll learn more in the coming days/weeks, but right now it's kinda hard to piece together the why.

Yeah even before the transfer portal was a big deal, he still would've been immediately eligible because he graduated.

Yes it is. It's not about him, it's about the team, right? Perhaps his best contribution is to be a good backup.

Its his job to say stupid shite so yall run and talk about it all day...

ETA: He was literally screaming about how LSU got left at the alter with Riley and that there was no back up plan like 3 hours before Brian Kelly was dropped.
