As a mostly SEC umpire, we did I think in my opinion get the better half of some 50/50 calls behind the dish. Which we needed tonite. I see he shaved off his trademark handlebar mustache also!
Let’s see who gets back there tomorrow ! Geaux tigers

Nah anything close to the plate the tigers put in play. Just seems lopsided cuz UNC kept their bats on their shoulders.

He completely shite the bed on that Guidry curveball that Neal bobbled.

That was strike 3 all day everyday.

He royally screwed Guidry over on 2 batters to load the bases. It was both ways.

UNC was bitching at every pitch they didn’t swing at. Take the bat off your shoulder and hit the zone being called.

Your paragraph formation is as good as your NFL draft analysis.

He gave both sides the edges.

I prefer he just be a good ump, even though we benefited a bit more than UNC did today. He looked like a 10u tournament ball ump tonight.

Doesn’t explain the gigantic squeeze at the end of the game

They could have helped some more because LSU walked a shite ton of batters.

Him calling a pitch over the middle of the plate a ball because the catcher didn't catch it cleanly is unforgivable.

He was clearly influenced all night by framing of pitches. It'll be a glorious day when they finally take that out of the umps hands.

Sadly, as bad of a squeeze as he did at the end he’s been the best umpire this weekend.

We will be back to one of the other asshats tomorrow.

Hurd need his coach to stop calling shifts and leave him in game.

I think we got favorable calls the first 5 innings then it got a lot tighter.

I don’t think he missed an actual strike call until the Guidry debacle.

He was generous but everything that was in a traditional zone was called. As someone else said, being aggressive was rewarded.

He looks like he exclusively listens to ska music.

Yeah we got calls that even as an LSU fan I was like holy shite that's bad
Glad to finally be on the good end of bad ump calls, though

He started out consistent

The home crowd wore him down

They’ve now only lost their 3rdgame this season at home

They are used to manipulating the strike zone

We for sure got some calls early. In the 8-9 for us he missed 2 sure strikes and 2 borderline (imo should have been strike)
