Who if any here were processed off the roster by CJJ?

I could see all of them except Rizy. Despite his control issues, he still has a big upside.

I wondered about this all season. He didn't even get the chance to "get going". Instead, we got to watch Rizy almost kill batters and Guidry give up a home run seemingly almost every time he pitched.
People are going to be shocked to find out that Rizy had the 4th best ERA on the team

That's because he would always come in with runners on base and allow those runs to score but get out of it/get replaced before any of the ones he allowed score.

Rizy: Wish it would've worked out but didn't take the step the staff expected out of him after a promising freshman season. You could tell towards the end of conference play and the SEC tournament that the staff lost trust in him finding the zone consistently.
Caraway: I remember that after like 2 weeks of the season, Trent Caraway had 2 HR & 15 RBI's and thinking to myself, dang this could be a solid bottom of the lineup hitter. He then finished with 2 HR & 16 RBI's, clearly wasn't the case. Don't think we saw him almost the entire last month of the year after he didn't slide at second and got in Jay's dog house.
Harden: Clearly a very athletic dude, very capable but think he needed more non con AB's and by the time there were injuries and Harden was getting a chance, it was against top notch pitching and he was clearly not very confident at the plate.
Noot: Kind of a bizarre one here. TJ Surgery in 23 & missed the season, 1 inning in 24 while still recovering from TJ, 32.2 Innings of 4.13 ERA/1.33 WHIP in 25 with the 6th most innings on a national championship team, even had an outing in Omaha, then have 3 of the dudes with more innings than you graduate, and come back for year four and finish with 9.1 innings (16th on the team). I know he didn't look great but so did other pitchers and it never felt like Noot got the chance to work out of it like some of the other guys on the staff got. Kind of a weird situation here, maybe was dealing with some lingering injuries or mechanic stuff but very rarely see a guy that was one of your most used arms on a natty team come back and be absolutely irrelevant on a bad team.
Primeaux: In a similar fashion to Noot, saw his appearances drop off a cliff from a great team to a bad team. Redshirted in 23, threw 3.2 innings in 9 appearances as a situational lefty in 24, threw 14.0 innings of 3.86 ERA/1.36 WHIP in 25 with the 3rd most appearances on the team (22), to come back and throw 2.1 innings on 4 appearances. Again, didn't look great this year but looked no worse than the other guys that we let work through the early issues. Meanwhile DJ had his role turn into nothing.
We shall see who else ends up leaving, surely there will be more. Can't say I'm too surprised about any of these ones.

Can he throw a strike?
Just a bit outside.

When they gave tanner reaves the lf spot after Stany got hurt you knew it was done.

Curious about Harden. I wonder if he got the boot
Whether it was him or the staff, he clearly wasn’t ready to make the jump to the SEC. He needs to go to a smaller school where he can get reps and try to get it going. That’s just not happening here.

That, or he only faced a few batters and got pulled because he walked or hit 1 or more.

quote:Primeaux was never a guy to give you length. He has a nice curve and good enough fastball as a lefty to come in for a batter or two to get you out of a jam.
Primeaux
Just like everyone else, he couldn’t throw strikes. Ended up working behind in counts to where batters knew a hittable fastball was coming. He could have a pretty important role, it’s just time to move on and try someone else.

Hey man....Im sure theres a Pride Month board around here somewhere.

I don't disagree, he was very much a "lefty on lefty" guy but it felt off to me that he only got his number called four times a year after he got it called 22 times. It would have been one thing if the bullpen was just lights out this year and there was nowhere to put him, but quite the opposite. Just an observation.

Was DJ a PM commit that JJ inherited and honored the commitment? I thought he may have gotten caught up in the between the change of coaches.

My goodness - someone here who literately makes sense from their observations in a baseball thread. Oh, looks like you are new here. Sure you are on the right site? This is Tigerdroppings - The Rant, where seldom is heard a sensible word.

I mean I've watched every game of each of these guys' LSU career so I just call it how I see it, nor am I going to bash a college kid. I wish them all well, just wish it would've been with the Tigers but you can't just return everyone from a bad team and expect them to magically all take a huge jump.
You've got a great core group of Arrambide, Serna, & Braun at bat & Evans, Schmidt, & Moore on the mound. Filter some of the rest out and bring in some guys that want to compete and see what we can do next year.

Rizy 2026 Stats:
Record: 0-0
ERA: 4.22
Innings Pitched: 21.1
Strikeouts: 28
Walks: 19 (that's a 28% walk average based on 21.1 innings pitched)
Hit Batters: 7 (... and 11% hit baters average on innings pitched)
With those stats, who needs to hire an analyst?
