I would love to pick up Curland, numbers dropped off after injury but get him back and healthy and he's a 280-300 average/15 HR guy in the middle infield.

I believe it was answered in another thread, but how does Kurland have eligibility left? New rule coming?
I see he has stats for 4 seasons at Florida.
I see in 2025 he played in 14 games. I assume he got a RS?

5 for 5 wouldn't affect him. He got a redshirt year for a previous injury.
If they pass 5 for 5 it will be over the summer or near the next school year when rosters for the various sports are largely set to reduce the opportunities for guys to sue for more eligibility because there won't be spots for them anyway.

Trosclair to Tenn. Scone did say there would be no hometown discount given.

I would assume the Landon Hood signing pushed his decision to go elsewhere. Tennessee needed another weekend starter and I’m sure that’s what he wants to be and was promised. Jay wasn’t promising him that.

Trosclair's 2.26 conference ERA came against Southeastern, Incarnate Word, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, UNO, Nichols, and UTRVG.
You don't guarantee a starting spot to a guy who might not be ready for the season, and who pitched against that competition.
Also, he and his family appear to be massive dickheads. Will fit right in at Tennessee.

He was never a take for LSU. Not a fit for the progrum.

That would be a huge get

Besides the portal addition names would you add player position and, if a pitcher, RH or LH? That might be good info at a glance. Thanks for your posts and updates!

Love this. Big pickup.
The number of portal adds is not huge in quantity, but hard to argue with the quality.
Landon Hood. rhp, 2.48 era, has 4 pitches that he throws for strikes
Dawson Park, inf that hit above .300, solid defense
Bino Watters of, .362 avg in the ACC
Those sure are some good baseball names.
We all expect a couple of lhp's, another of, and another if. We aren't that far away from a very good team. Milan coming back would be huge, but hard to predict. He loses leverage, but not sure he ever gets drafted high whether it is this year or next. He would have one of the best years of his life to come back for a run at a natty his senior year at LSU.

Bino Watters to LSU
This past season for the Irish, he hit .362 with 10 home runs, 18 doubles and 51 RBI while striking out only 37 times in 218 at bats.

Get the kid from Washington, the OF

They will. Dont expect world beaters (only so much money to go around) but he will add some lefties for sure and likely 1 more IF and OF.
The 2025 template was really adding 2 big names in Eyanson and Dickinson and some role players like stanfield, Mayers and cowan. Cowan far exceeded expectations. Otherwise Jay relied on retirning players getting better like Milam and jones, ethan Frey and a couple of big time Freshman in Curiel and Evans playing huge roles.
I see a similar approach for 27. 2 big portal adds in Hood and Watters. A role player with huge upside in Park, likely adding a couple more complimentary pieces. Then rely on the returning core of Braun, Serna, Arrambide and Ruckert. NEED Evans, Schmidt and Moore to continue to develop along with Paz, Theophilous and a couple of other guys. Then likely 1 freshman position player and one freshman pitcher step up big time

*in 252 plate appearances, so his K rate was only 14.7
His OBP% was also .447 on the season
In ACC play, he hit .339, w 7 2Bs, 5 HRs, 21 RBIs, and an OBP% of .444. He had 21 Ks in 141 plate appearances (14.9%), so his production didn't dip at all in conference play

That was a straight copy and paste. Thanks for the update.
