Found this video (3ish minutes long) on youtube. Hope y’all enjoy. The purple iridescent helmet paint cost blew my mind.

Maybe we need to revisit those gold helmets - got a neat old-timey feel to them. Still don’t like the purple helmets…

Not a fan of tinkering with the uniform, but the gold helmet with the player numbers are cool. Wish we’d trot that out more.

I think these should be in the rotation. At least once every couple of years. Also want to see the Bert Jones era logo helmet

I would like to see us go back to gray facemasks with the yellow gold helmets. I like the way the purple looks with the white lids.

the gold/white/gold is great and all but gold/purple/gold needs to be done more often. white/purple/white also looks elite even though the colors aren't entirely matching between jersey and pants

Bama didn’t take that from us. A lot of teams did that back in the 50’s and early 60’s. Teams started to move to new designs. Alabama was the only team that stayed with it.
