I can't imagine anyone differing from any of these round projections so here we go.

Jayden Daniels - 1st round
Malik Nabers - 1st round
Brian Thomas Jr - 1st round
Jordan Jefferson - 3rd round
Mekhi Mingo - 4th round
Omar Speights - 5th round
Maason Smith - 6th round
Charles Turner - 6th round
Ovie Oghoufo - 6th round
Andre Sam - 7th round
Noah Cain -undrafted
John Emery - undrafted

I say Omar Speights goes later, Turner and Smith go earlier.

Smith will go earlier than that based on potential alone.

Don't see Omar being drafted. The rest looks pretty close.

Maason Smith is going much earlier than the 6th. A lot of teams are attracted to him for his measurables alone. He had over 20+ visits during NFL teams top 30 visits. Someone will grab him in the 4th round at the latest.

Smith will go in the 2nd Rd, 3rd at the latest.

He's in every respectable draft pundit's top 50 and like you said, is garnering top 30 visits from several clubs.

I know the nfl drafts on potential but damn...
If anyone wastes a 2nd rd pick on Smith then they are truly dumb. He has nothing on tape to warrant being drafted, let alone in the 2nd round.

BUT BUT THE TAPE.

There’s going to be a lot of upset ranters when his name is called on the second day of the draft

Why would they be upset? The nfl drafting someone doesn't erase their play at lsu.
Jamarcus sucking in the nfl in no way changes what he did at lsu and Smith being drafted early in no way means he was good at lsu.

Most people realize he was still coming back from injury last year. And his top level plays are something teams will dream they can harness

I get what you're saying but he didn't play well last year. Nothing he ever did at lsu warrants a 2nd rd pick. If he does get drafted early it will be solely off potential, is all I'm saying.

Do you think he will prove worthy of a 2nd rd pick?

Neither did Al Woods, but he turned in a 13 year NFL career.

I remember Danielle Hunter being drafted fairly early based on potential because he wasn’t nearly the sack artist at LSU that he was in the NFL.

I agree 2nd probable, 3rd more than likely 4th most likely

Don't know about it being a "waste" but it was a horrible decision by him not to come back next year. The very fact we are having this discussion about him is proof of that.

Except Hunter was a beast at lsu his last year and completely shut down the run on his side of the ball with 70+ tackles as a true hand in the dirt end. And he was drafted in the 3rd.

Al woods had 5.5 sacks his last year and was a 4th rd draft pick.

I'm not saying Smith shouldn't be drafted. It's the 2nd rd I'm questioning.

Al Woods was a much better player for LSU than Maason Smith was.
