it’s hard to deny Vitello is a top coach in College baseball, but it’s also hard to deny there is dumb money running through the SEC right now and Tennessee has heavily invested in all their programs.
He has had his fair share of high profile transfers in his run as well.

Different scenarios. Vitello was established by the time Johnson came. Went 20-10 in the SEC the year before Johnson was at LSU. Johnson came in with a lot of talent, but not enough. They were 13-17 in conference in 2021. I should not have had to point it out, but it seemed pretty obvious you were comparing apples to oranges.
